I support the truth, which is  a) Georgia fired its first shot even though Condy told that idiot president not to during their July 9 private dinner at Georgia (see Yahoo news: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080813/pl_... b) Russia's punishment which not only Georgia, but rest of Uncle Sam's puppies would never forget.

Apparently the Georgians were treating ethnic Russians badly (so we are led to believe) bu even if they were, what Russia should have done is help pull their people out and direct world attention to the fact.  But to invade Georgia!  That's criminal.  But lets face it, the Russians have only just emerged from Communism, and have not as yet fully absorbed the concept of the rights of individuals and countries.  They have yet to outgrow the belief that if you want something, and the person/country you want it from is weaker than you, then hey, go in and take it!  

An understanding of basic rights takes centuries to develop, as it has in the west generally.  That understanding manifests itself in the existance and proliferation of public lobby groups for everything from animal welfare, care of the poor, g*y Rights, and so on.  You don't as yet see these things in Russia any more than you see them in Zimbabwe.

I hope the West stands up to Russia and gets them out of Georgia,

At first I supported Georgia, but that was before I found out Georgia was killing its own citizens (2000 people give or take). Its funny how most of the media here in the U.S. can only talk about the Russians being at fault and all day I hear about them not following a "cease-fire agreement", but very little to nothing is being said about Georgia bombing and killing its own citizens. I know there are differences between the Russia/Georgia and US/Iraq conflicts, but wasn't Saddam frowned upon for genocide which is basically what Georgia was doing?

Treating ethnic Russians bad? How about killing them? “al qaeda” killed 3000 Americans and now we are on two war fronts (Iraq and Afghanistan). I do agree that Russia should not burn villages or kill Georgia’s innocent citizens, but I do agree with going in to protect not only the interest of their country, but also citizens of Russia and Georgia too. Also I think/hope you would agree that Genocide is criminal which is what Georgia was doing. What happen to the rights of the 2000 dead at the hand of their own government?

I support the Georgians.  There is no reason for Russian troops to bomb and invade Georgia.
