  1. I often wonder about that, too.  I sure hope they are!

  2. No.  Some people are literally proud of their ignorance.  There's this guy I ran into that was friends with someone I played with in a band.  He said "Robbing people's houses is fun.  I don't care if I go to jail for it, the intensity is worth it."  You would be suprised at the willful immorality of some folks.

  3. I don't think the authorities give a d**n about a suspect feeling embarrassed.

Althought I think it's wrong the way many courts have a policy that EVERY individual accused of any offense whatsoever has to appear before the judge shackled and in an orange jumpsuit, and being treated like he's already a criminal. The way I see, such a procedure should be reserved for charges involving violent offenses only.

  4. well i wanna says its 50/50 some will just laugh about going to prison (thil its time to shower) others yes but that is the point its to make you think about what you did jail is pretty much a grown up verison of time out

  5. Maybe they like being the bad guy anyway. I'd smile for the camera.

  6. If they were worried about their public image, they wouldn't be in that position in the first place.

As far as the media coverage, that blows over fast. You only see them in shackles at their early appearances. Most will be forgotten by the time it gets to the jury.

  7. For the most part... no. Embarrasment has nothing to do with it.   All they're mad about is getting caught.

  8. I don't know about them, but I sure would be.

  9. I think that if they have a long record of arrests and going to jail/prison, I doubt very much that they are embarrassed at all since they have done it before.

Mostly they are angry for being in the situation they are back in again, and the thought of possibly going back to prison .  They of course have hope that they will beat the case.

I would say that it would pretty much depend upon if they have been through the system before or not, as to if they would feel embarrassed by their situation or not.

Its hard to say how the media coverage affects them, not all will talk about that.

  10. They have more important things to worry about than their appearance to the public..
