Do you swimmers shower to stay warm after a swim?

I do. So do Olympic swimmers. Showers maintain the temperature. Colder air can weaken the muscles.

Most swimmers want to wash off the chlorine though.

  1. yes, but not to stay warm, i shower to get off all the chlorine

    and to stay warm, i warm down after my race, which is better for the muscles for to heal rather than sitting there, and i put a deck coat on

  3. I'm a swimmer 2! And i don't but i should do it more often. I did here that it can weaken your muscles, but it's only temporary. Although it could affect your next race at a swim meet. Thanks for reminding me! I know it will be helpful in the new season :)

  4. im a swimmer 2! I sometimes shower, but not all the time since i have meets all the time, so whats the point. my hair is still curly so... and blonde not green

  5. No i usually do it to clean myself from the dirty water . and to get rid of all the clorine thats there its bad for utr hair and jammer ect speedos

  8. I don't. I usually only swim Fly which is at the beginning of our duel meets. I just bring a sweatshirt to wear after I climb out...
