  1. I used to take a lot of things for granted in my beloved country; freedom, liberty, Consitutional guarantees, freedom from fear....and many other things.

    Then, George Bush became president........

He is a perfect example of a madman who, by accident and voter apathy, took over the greatest country in the world and brought it to the brink of ruin.

I will never take anything in my country for granted again.......

  2. I used to hate the local news (traffic?) planes, flying back and forth in my neighborhood counting the hair on our heads with they're high resolution ccd cameras in their free time; so I cut my hair. Now they have nothing too do....

  3. Your only problem is to focus on the current administration as the source of your dissatisfaction.

Whether you like or hate GWB, he has been faced with many issues that were unpredictable and was expected to assume sole responsibility by an unsupportive Congress.

Don't c**p on him and then complain that he stinks.

Othrwise, you won't be prepared for the next issue when there is a President that you like.

  4. I've lived long enough to not take anything for granted. Freedom isn't free as our troops somewhere at any given time fight for it. It may not appear that way to many but that is what happens. So many lives have been given up for the freedoms we enjoy and no one under any guise should be allowed to walk right in and take from us what has been and is still being paid for with our peoples blood.

  5. I suppose that at times we all do that. But, as the saying goes, "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance". We can never get too lazy, too afraid, or too docile to allow what has been happening in recent years to continue.

The day that we stop having our freedoms and cease to progress towards a more perfect union will be the day that the "evil-doers" have won. Unfortunately they have been winning  lot of battles lately.

  6. Nope!

I am too old to be young and because of such, I have seen our freedoms dwindle, little by little and I have seen Americans become more and more apathetic in almost every realm of their lives.  Because we have been apathetic and because we are basically only interest in money, we now are coming to the point in time where we are serving the government more and more; the Constitution and the Bill of Rights say, "THE GOVERNMENT IS THE PEOPLE'S SERVANT.

What we do know for sure is that the government is too big and we let it happen and now we are in big trouble as we are continually having our rights pre-empted.  The bills are written so deep and so screwed up, few can interpret them and that is exactly what our Congress wants!  Take heed, the pathway is narrowing for "free" America and that is not a pipe dream of this old lady.
