Do you take out your Sub woofer for the winter?

I am not sure if it is okay to leave sub in my car for the winter. I live in Pennsylvania and the weather here gets cold.

What if i'd put my sub in my car, not in the trunk, would that be a better idea?

  1. not a problem, i used to leave my subs exposed to the elements in the back of my pickup, it was awesome when they would fill up with water or snow and create a waterfall effect when i'd kick them on...

  2. Just don't blast them right away in the cold (start out at a lower volume for like 3 min)...They'll be fine in the trunk, I leave mine in during the winter and nothing has ever happened to it.

  3. Only way damage could be done is if you turn them up too loud before they've warmed up... as long as you give them a couple minutes to warm up at a low volume, it will be no different then using them in warmer weather.
