Do you take the permit test on the computer or write it on a paper for the NY DMV? Is their a time limit?

got my permit back in 2003 and if things haven't changed, which alot of my friends brothers and sisters have gotten their permits in the last year, then you still do it on paper. as for the time limit i remember there was one, but im not sure how long. couldnt have been more than 20 minutes. but its really not that hard. i know when i finished everybody else was finished around the same time and we were all sitting around for a few until we were told time was up.
