A good example is my case. As Senior Vehicular Shunting Executive, it is self evident that there must be a junior VSE and as soon as there is a long-term respite from the gale force winds now buffeting our supermarket fiscal plans I am assured by my manager that this self-evident truth will manifest itself as an actual being.

  1. Truth is never absolute.

It is up to the individual to do their own research and come to a conclusion based on their own belief systems and principles.

One thing is for sure, never belief ANYTHING you read or see on the TV

  2. The truth is only relative to what can be earned from a lie.

  3. that was funny

  4. It depends on what the truth is. If it is common knowledge that the truth is self evident. If it is something that is that well known, I am skeptical until I do some research and discover if the truth told to me is valid or not.

  5. This is concisely and succinctly summed up in one time-honored word: "Duh".  Duh is another way of saying, "We hold this truth to be self-evident".

  6. I hope to god you're only doing that until the colleges start up again!

It is only self evident to those with the correct amount of unfounded faith and some sort of interest.

  7. ...thats not truth its the word of your manager, gale forces and fiscal PLANS...as an actual being is still not truth...

  8. That sounds like logic to me.

  9. I'm still smiling at the imagery I think of when I read the words Senior Vehicular Shunting Executive.

Did you get this from Dilbert? It sounds a little familiar.

    Very funny.

And...yes. Truth is generally self evident, not something I can be told.

  10. As if truth has a self, but the personification of truth into a being, I believe, is only human effort to understand it, to give an identity and a form, to relate to it closely, whereas the truth is always within, discernable through situations of people and their things; truth is always evident to the eyes that can see.

This is possible for people to live in ignorance then what are ignorance if not an inability to see truth. This is possible for things to catch up with us unawares, for things to happen, for circumstances and situations to take highly unlikely turns. Where was truth before then? Why couldn’t we figure that earlier, why didn’t we know that before? We never know exactly they way things might turn up, but we stay alert, we try to be ready, we prepare for the worst and hope for the best, we often say. We know that truth is there in things somehow that we could know it if we had known better, I we were keener, we say. Than that is it. We seek to know better so that we may see the truth earlier. We seek perfection in the knowledge so that we may keep the truth of our trade in our sight all the time. We would not bother to know all things if we had believed that certain things and certain times are devoid of truth, so what is the point wasting time, why not have a nap instead, to wake up again when its time. Truth never sleeps, it never goes away, it is not here or there it is everywhere, it is within. We carry the truth the way we carry our breath.

The if we must believe the truth is a force that will make its being known all in good time then we are left as a mere spectators of life, and never active participant of its proceeding. We might then see the truth but not the way it could have been if we were involved.

  11. well it would seem self-evident that youre a few aisles short of a supermarket
