Do you take your 3 month old baby out in super hot weather?

Tomorrow is supposed to be 32 C or 96F in the afternoon. A friend wants us to go walking at a park. I am assuming we would be out for atleast 2 hours. Is this safe for him? or can he easily get heat stroke? Of course I will feed him often so he stays hydrated.

  1. Its not really the best thing to do for a three month old baby well that long anyway u can do it just take breaks in cooler areas and keep him hydrated young babies tend to fall asleep in hotter weather just be a were of that even tho its not the case for all babies.

  2. If it were for 30 minutes, maybe.  Two hours, no.  See if your friend might like to walk around a local mall.  You also have to think of his little bottom.  Lots of liquid = lots of potty + heat = diaper rash!

  3. I would probably not... it'd be more work keeping the baby shaded and cool and hydrated than it would be to just reschedule.

Babies have no choice...so keep him in the AC! :)

  4. Im sure it will be fine , keep the baby in the shade at all times, like the hood over the pram. take some cooled boiled water  it might be refreashing for baby. if u feel that he is crying 2 much and not seetling just go home .

  5. no worries there are people around the world in hotter weather so its manageable. just make sure he has sunblock and a hat on because their skin is very sensitive.  try and avoid having him in direct sun usually around 10am to 3pm when the sun is at its hottest. Just make sure to keep him hydrated before and during the walk. hope this helps =)

  6. I think it would be fine, take a washer and a mist spray bottle with you as well as some cooled boiled water...and use as necessary, and keep him shaded.

  7. I think you need to use your common sense, if you have a sunshade and a hat for your baby as well as sun cream then id say he should be fine. Keep checking him while your out and make sure you check the back of his neck as that will give the best indication of his temperature.

Give him lots to drink and take a hand held fan if possible just in case

Also id say its best to make sure you have a quick way of getting home incase he becomes too hot and take some calpol or something with you.

  8. Absolutely not. Infants are 3-5 times more sensitive to the heat than we are. Even with the hydration, it would probably be unbearable for him.

Infants' smaller body surfaces don't regulate their body temperature as quickly as we do. Heat stress can cause severe dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke which can result in serious injury and death.

Temperatures of 122 can kill a baby in 40 minutes.

  9. I hope not it's like asking should people smoke when there kids are in the car. You are smart for not doing so some people are you know.

  10. DONOT DO IT
