When technically, they don't say anything rude, they just state their opinion. Like, repeatedly contratict everything you say when there's no real need for it.

Do you:

1. explain calmly that they are annoying

2. respond with something technically not rude, but very unpeasant,

3. avoid them,

4. let them do it and keep being friends,

5. become angry and start a fight,

6. other?

  1. tell them in private and if they don't get it avoid them

  2. I have a friend that does it all the time, and it's just part of their nature. I just avoid them when they get annoying. Probably not the best way to handle it, but I'm a no confrontation kind of girl, and they usually get the hint.

  3. Not usually, but if they do it alot I would. Usually I just ignore the person, and try to avoid them.

  4. initially I just ignore them but if they continue to annoy me then I'll probably explain calmly that they are annoying..

  5. Usually if you just roll your eyes at them and say something like "That's nice." they're left speechless :P

  6. do the same back and then they will know how annoying it is

  7. 1.

I prettymuch tell it how I see it, however, I make a point not to be rude about it. Some comments are better left unsaid. If someone does it around me I usually tell them that its not polite and to behave...yes I use the word behave....so parent-like huh...

  8. They usually get the idea without me having to say anything...

  9. I would say something light like "my, we should agree to disagree.. it seems everything i say is opposite of what you feel"

I have a family member like this, when I have to se her, I am extremely careful about saying anything that she could have an opinion on... just things like weather, whats for dinner etc..
