Once I got divorced, my credit score wasn't as good as it use to be. I only have 1 year to go before I become certified as an elementary teacher. Could my credit score keep me from getting a job? I am still paying off bills from when my ex and I were married and it doesn't seem like I will ever get out of debt.

  1. your credit has to play a limited role.

the persons who are in the selection committe always gauge you by your aptitude towards teaching and your pleasing personality since for elementary teaching.

Never project your personal expectations here as they are not going to be helpful.

Be brave and confident and walk with firmness you will succeed. with best wishes

  2. Your credit score is not relevant.

They check whether you have a police record and they check your references.

  3. Um...I didn't think legally they could deny you employment solely based on your credit score...I've never heard of school systems diong anything like that!  What state are you in?

  4. The only thing that they do (at least in California) is take your fingerprints and check to see if you have a criminal record.  I don't think they would have the legal right to check your credit score...at least that doesn't make sense to me.  I wouldn't worry about that at all.  Good luck with the rest of your schooling (and with paying off your debts)!  Sounds like you are headed in the right direction!  :)

  5. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  6. Ofcourse they will also check your credits but it depends on you and your personality

how you are going to present yourself at the time of interview.

Regarding debts you need to plan it well according to your earnings.

  7. Not really. You just need to show your employer what your strengths and skills are. Worry about that when it's time to buy a car or a house.
