Do you think, that if the world had more oil reserves AGW, would be such a issue?

Those countries that had limited supplies, have already implemented other resources. But those that had prosperity didn't. Kinda like the ant-vs-grasshopper parable.

There is more political will to implement alternative energy since oil is so expensive.  If oil were cheap, it would be easier to dismiss the ideas of a few enviro wakos.  

I'm not suggesting that the environment is not important - it is important.  But activists have lots of emotion and not much logic.  

I doubt the oil is running out.  People have been incorrectly calling the end of oil since it stopped gushing out of the ground under it's own pressure in the 1920's.  Who knows how much more is down there.

More oil has been discovered in the previous 5 years than has been discovered in the 25 years before that.

There's enough oil for the next 200 years.  We just lack the political will to use it.
