Do you think 13 is a good age for a tongue pierceing?

all my friends have their tongue pierced i wanted it way before they got it.

but my parents think I'm to young.!.

how do i talk them into it?.

  4. whoa i dont know where your from but when i was 13 my friends just had their ears pierced.

    maybe a few with a cartiledge piercing or a nose or bellybutton piercing.

  6. I got mine when I was 15. But then again I already had multiple piercings and a tattoo by then so my mom new I would be able to take care of it. Your 13 and don't need to worry about it wait until your older  

  7. chyea its not a big deal as long as you research it, know the risks, how to care for it, and your parents say yes.

  8. Everyone has got their views like you see on this list. Mine is if it is legal and more importantly if are matured enough which some peeps are then ok thats for me. I dont even know what tongue piersing wasnt that age. hehe. had a ear piesing much later. U gota also check the consequences like you going to look different at that age some people can  put you down just coz sometime society has a way of shaping people. Are you strong enough to put your life in jeopardy (Note I am not challenging you here) ... BUT YEA worst if i am confusing you read the next msg. I am giving you the same advise that I will give to my younger sister. I am 24. Hope you really find the answer.

  9. Please DON'T do it, you're too young, wait a few years and then think about it, what if your views will change and you'll regret it.  

    If I was 13 and asked my father if I can get my tongue pierced he would kick me out of the house...there are much better ways to show your individuality or rebel or...whatever your reasons for wanting to do it may be.

    it, it would really deflate their feelings toward your responsibility

    and maturity if you would do anything to allow you to get your tongue pierced. Who wants to be like all your friends anyway?

    But if you decide to ignore me anyways, get a nose ring.

    They're way cooler and everyone else will be stuck

    with their tongue pierced, while you're the creative

    and different one by being different than everyone else.

  17. 13 is too young love. Wait until your 15sh & decide if you want a tongue piercing for the rest of your life. BTW the hurts alot from what I've heard, but seriously if you want it right now & your positive you'll take care of it than go for it.

  19. No way! You are way too young. I think you should wait if you really want to do it. You might regret it because if you bite your tongue it hurts but if you get it pierced it will hurt much worse. I got my ears pierced and that hurts but those aren't very sensitive. You tongue is and it would really hurt. It is also very gross. It's in your mouth! How do you brush your teeth? Just thought I'd help. I'm also trying to find more chances to get Best Answer cause I never have. *hint* *hint* Ha! You don't have to. Just sayin!

  22. Wait at least till you are 14 or 15....  tongue piercings are a big responsibility and you have to show that you can handle to deal with it, so just saying you want one isn't enough. What else do you know about this type of piercing?  Healing time? Jewelry? Price? Notable Location?

    First of all you are too young.

    Second of all, what do you need it for???   Because your friends have it!!!  Do you really know what it means to have one, and why women get it.!!!

    Third of all, it will chip your teeth.  And you will need false front teeth by age 20, and they won't match.

    It should not matter what everyone else has.  Keep your teeth and tongue the way they are now, you will not regret it  The need and want for the piercing will go away in time, as you get older, and you will have great front teeth.

  28. Personally I dont think any age is a good age for a tongue piercing - and definatly not for a 13 year old.  Your tongue, like the rest of your body, is still growing for goodness sakes.
