Do you think $600 for a trip to Tennessee from Florida is a lot?

I'm going on a trip for a week to Tennessee, I live in Florida. It's with my youth group, and we're spending the night at a hotel, and leaving from here, so gas is covered in the price. This is what's included:

-Gas (It's $3.97 here, and over $4 where we're going)

-Food (3 meals a day)

-Hotel (5 or 6 rooms for 7 nights)

-Extra Activities (Museams, Amusement Parks, Ice Skating, and GoKarts)

Do you think that is a lot? My mom doesn't understand why it's so much. I think it's reasonable because the past 3 years it was that price, and considering the price of everything going up, it stayed the same for us. Any ways of convicing my mom the price is OK?

Petrol in the UK costs £1.25 ($2.50) a LITRE.

That's like me saying gas costs $12.50 a gallon!

Your trip sounds cheap! 2 of us went to France for three nights to watch the LeMans 24hour race:

Petrol: £120

Tent: £60

Ferry: £64

Race Tickets: £160

Food and drink: £250

Total: £654 ($1308)

But seriously, that is two people with salaries.

I went on a school trip 15 years ago and that was for about a week, with similar sort of itinerary. If I remember it was in France and was abot £300-400. That was in 1993!

The onyl way to know for sure is to add it up - how many miles will you be doing? Assume 30 miles per gallon at $4 per gallon. Then coach booking, meals (it will be cheaper the more numbers) cost of activities minus a group discount (go on websites to check).

P.s it seems like alot for old people like perents but for us younge people woot woot! Mabe ask ur mum to pay half and u pay half.
