  1. i dont think it really makes a diff, so yeah why not

  2. I think they will always be allowed to wear different coloured boots as the sponsors are for ever changing the designs in order for further sales - & the players wearing them are a form of advertizing.

I think Warwick Capper was one of the first - with his white boots & short shorts.

  3. Not sure if the manufacturer/sponsor make the boots in club colours. This is possibly at the request of the player concerned, if they want to pay more to have a specific colour.

Some players have worn white boots over the years.

Phil Carmen from Collingwood/Essendon comes to mind.

Personally, I suspect it's an ego thing. Look at me, look at me.

  4. I really think it depends on their sponsers as most have a sponser of some sort. Like Crawford he wore gold for a year maybe two, cause his sponser was adidas(I think) and thats how the sponsers get their advertising. You could see Crawfords feet before you could see him.lol But they were cool and I cant stand Crawford, his another Sam in the making...

  5. They arent allowed to were different coloured socks because socks are a part of the 'uniform' whereas boots are not. However, dud footballers should not be allowed to wear anything but jet black boots (espec. not white ones) so as to avoid their own embarassment.

  6. yep of course dude.

  7. Phil Carmen I believe was the first to play in white boots, didn't affect the way he played, It's not the colour of the boot that determines a players ability.

  8. yep
