Question:

Do you think Abercrombie and Hollister will die down soon?

I absolutely hate them. Everywhere I go I see someone wear something from there. Every teenager I know wears this brand. It's not even a brand, its just a store at the mall that got started in california and by luckk and expanded to other locations. Me myself, being one of the teens that dress with class I prefer to waste money on designers like guess or tommy hilfiger, not to brag, but its not like a million other people have the same shirt as me. Abercrombie and Hollister are just to popular and their clothes are overpriced too and they are very trashy and bad quality. Don't get me wrond designers like hilfiger have some bad quality clothes but hollister and abercrombie have a lot. I want this revolution to end. For goodness sake wearing a hollister shirt and jeans is not a style and it does not mean you are rich. What do you think?

  1. nope, because many white and white-washed kids are still wearing the brand. as long as they still shop at those stores, abercrombie and hollister will still live...remember, the owners still need to make a living too. abercrombie used to be some kind of game store(game as in rifles, deer, fishing, etc.)

the quality of clothes is bad, but if their t-shirts were $1, i would buy it.

hmmm...i usually wear whatever looks cute :] and sometimes i go overboard with ralph lauren :]

  2. Abercrombie did not start in California.

It began in New England about one hundred years ago, and provided good quality hunting clothes worn by president Roosevelt, Katherine Hephburn and Ernest Hemingway.

    It provides classic basics.

Personally, I find Tommy Hilfiger outdated (it was cool in the 90s and hasnt been since) and everything from Guess to be absolutely hideous.

    But that's just my opinion.

Though I dont think you wan anybodys opinion- i think you only created this question to rant and *****.

And no, neither of the stores will die down.

  3. they already are out of style,

in style for guys is Ed Hardy, True Religon Jeans, Affliction, and other Urban outfiters,

Girls is depending, but its Ed hardy as well, along with Bloomingdale cloths.

Abercrombie was popular 5 - 9 years ago, atleast in manhattan.

  4. First calm down...

Second check your facts before you post. Abercrombie has been around since the late 1800s, so I don't think it's going away anytime soon.

Third why don't you worry about more important things then about what other people wear, believe me life will be so much easier.

  5. Abercrombie, Hollister, Ruehl, and Gilly Hicks will never die. Abercrombie and Fitch has been around since 1892, it's not going anywhere. Just because YOU don't like it and think it's not a "brand" doesn't mean that everyone else thinks that.  People can wear whatever they wish.  I hate stores like Hot Topic and Aeropostale, but does that mean that they have to "die out?" No, my opinion isn't the only one that counts.  If you have a problem with any of the Abercrombie owned brands, then don't associate yourself with them.  Just simply don't wear that brand.

  6. I don't think it'll die down, unfortunately. But I like tommy hilfiger/ralph lauren although thats a bit pricey too. But their clothes have awesome quality.

  7. exactly what i do i waste my money on polo guess br and dkny and u no what?? people started copiing me i hope it dies down too i hate it!!

  8. When this generation finds something new or gets in there 30's then it might cool down.

  9. Why cant you just let people wear what they want to wear? I dont wear them brands either. ( I go to Wet Seal mostly ) Its really not our business though.

  10. I agree with u. My style of clothing is skater/rocker and I HATE PREPS! they act like rich snobs and I hate abercrobie and hollister and all of those other stores. and ur right. the clothes there r expensive. i hate it. i do hope the stores will die down soon.

  11. Amen to that, girl. I've never understood getting ALL your clothes at one store. Especially one that produces poor quality clothes like A&F and Hollister. Then you just look like someone out of a magazine add. I can get better quality clothing for less at other stores in the mall--without having some stupid logo on my shirt like some sort of cooperate branding. Personally, I used to buy jeans from A&F because they're one of the few where I can find a "long" 5 that fits me >.<, but as soon as I discovered that Charlotte Russe had nicer pants in that size for half the price--I jumped on the opportunity. I'm not going to buy from a store just because they're popular or everyone wears them. That's actually why I wouldn't want to buy from them. lol.

IMO, Hollister's clock is ticking, but A&F has been around since the 1800s--and while they don't sell the same stuff they sold back then, they'll probably adapt with the times and stick around for a while. Unless this generation wakes up and realizes that their paper thin shirts aren't even worth a tenth of what they're paying and moves on to better things.

  12. It wont die down, i personally like them but i dont brag about all

the clothes i get there since i shop everywhere from thrift stores

to pricy designer clothing. It's just in, theres nothing you can do

    about it.

  13. Well as a teenager i can say im sick of it too! I don't wear any of it and frankly even the older croud is getting into it so no not anytime soon. which is a real shame!

  14. i completely agree with you. i used to wear abercrombie and hollister and still sometimes do, but then i realized, 'wow this is so friggin GENERIC!' i really want to dress more unique now. and i dont think theyre overpriced though. i wish i could dress more trendy but i just dont want to pay so much for designer clothes.

  15. I like their clothes. Some of their clothes are really cute. I really like their tank tops. How are they bad quality? Hollister and Abercrombie clothes are really comfy, and i've have some of their shirts for about a year, and guess what? no holes, it didn't even get faded much. People who gets holes in their "paper thin" clothes are just really bad at taking care of clothes. There are millions of people who have tommy clothing, millions of people who dress scene/punk/skater, millions of people who wear hollister, or whatever other clothing people think isn't overrated. Originality doesn't even exist anymore. Everyone's the same, even if they think they aren't. You shouldn't even care about what other teenagers wear, if they like it, they like it, it's all that matters. & no, i doubt it'll die down anytime soon.
