People say the season 7 Next Food Network Star was rigged because they just needed another african american in the kitchen!! I also think it was rigged because this time no one voted, the so called judges voted this time not america! But that is just my opinion. I would just like to now your opinions, so it would be great if you would just say who do you think should of won or choose Aaron McCargo Jr. and if you would like write also why you chose this person!!!!! Thanks sooo much!!!

  1. I was rooting for Lisa! It was obvious she has the most expertise, experience, and skill to have her own show.

Adam was my second choice. He was not as knowledgable, but he is entertaining, and would be fun to watch.

Aaron- I can't believe he even made it to the finals!! He was SO bad in Vegas!! He didn't even know what chipolte peppers were!! I even know that!! He is SO boring. I will NOT watch his show EVER! I definitely would have watched a show with Adam or Lisa though.

I think Aaron will end up like last year's winner, Amy.

She did a few shows, the ratings sucked, and she was never seen again. I wanted this winner to have a successful show, like Guy. But, I doubt it will happen!! Aaron's show is supposed to start next week!!

  2. ok well i dont no if u call it rigged, ok think of this. remember when susie told lisa that there were many things they could market with her, examples: her clothing line, designer line, and other stuff. that when i though, hey the more things they can sell the richer they get. i thought lisa won. then i remembered that the neely's were the only african american show, so i thought they might go the race way. adam just knows how to smoke food, so yea. lisa was extremely marketable, but she wasnt as likable as aaron, aaron was liked by many. so i was like, ok cash or diversity, and i dont know if u can say its rigged, but it does bring up some quesitons

  3. I was also rooting for Lisa Garza, but I have to tell you that since I have seen the commercials for Aaron's show, it seems like he'll do a pretty good job.  The commercials show him to be fun and somewhat cool.  I hope his show does well, even though I was not rooting for him.  Great for him though.

  4. that **** was RIGGED to avoid a lawsuit.  Lisa was the real winner.

  5. Aaron was horrible throughout the entire competition! He is horrible in front of a camera and his personality on the screen seems fake. Adam was hilarious! I really wanted him to win. He was very comfortable in front of a camera. Lisa I think had the most experience and knew the most about food. I still wish Adam would have won and I also agree I tihnk it was rigged. We should have been able to vote. WE are the ones who have to watch it!

  6. It's probably all fixed,I didn't like the guy who won...I thought any of them could of beat him in a real cook-off.I am also glad that Nipa woman didn't win..couldn't stand her either.

I have to agree about the "down home with the neeleys" show..the wife reminds me of the woman at the movies who talks during the show...she gets on my last nerve with the whole "uhhh yeahh shrimmmp uhhh yeahh" Shut up! lol

  7. wait a minute...the black guy won NFNS??? I missed it because I got called into work. I cant stand down home with neelys.  those two are so OBNOXIOUS. hopefully this guy wont be like them....

Im just mad all these new people get new shows and the originals have their shows moved to different times...

  8. I wasnt very impressed with any of them initially but all three of them did a great job on their pilots!  Lisa's concept of Beautiful Basics was a great idea, but realistically her food is not really basic (duck confit & tartare basic?).  It's always been high end gourmet type of food but at least she can cook.  She was also the most knowledgeable.  She'a a pretty face and Food Network already has plenty of pretty women who can cook:  Giada, Sandra Lee, Ingrid, Aida, Nigella, Cat....  But she clearly was the right person to chose as the winner.

Adam has proved that he is great at BBQ & Smoked foods, beyond that I am not so sure.  His concept was innovative, but Ask Aida (premiering next week or so) is similar.  He lacks versatility & diversity.  Besides, FN already has a grillmaster, none other than Bobby Flay!

Aaron can cook, he really cooks more comfort type foods that people may actually try to cook at home.  Basically, he will attract a target audience that the FN wants, he also can portray himself as a role model for underprivileged youth to succeed. He may be the next superstar like Guy Fieri or fizzle out like Amy Finley, only time will tell.  But  I think there definitely were some internal politics involved for sure.

PS:  Nipa was a complete idiot, an embarassment to any person who can make good Indian food.  She was probably selected just to help round out the candidates into a more diverse group.  She should have been asked to leave the minute she left the room.

  9. I agree the whole thing was rigged.I think Lisa shouldve won,she has more experience, talent, and I enjoy seeing her on t.v. Even though im black myself,I do think they picked Aaron so there are more African Americans on Food Network so they arent considered prejudice.

  10. I liked Aaron McCargo, and the reason America wasn't allowed to vote was that last season America voted for Amy Finley when the judges liked Rory, hence Amy's show had a very short life.

  11. i think adam should have won because his personality was a lot better, but lisa was ok. she seemed to have the most experience and knowledge.
