Is this a real person, or for a story?

Allie can also be a nickname for Alice.

Alexa, Sandy, or Lexie could be nicknames for Alexandra.

This is the genealogy section and we generally research dead people.  Maybe this would be a better question in the books section.

I like it.  I think the name sounds very upper-class Colonial period.  No need to shorten it to a nick name.  Just use the middle name Mary.

or Allie would be fine I'm sure. But remember nicknames stick with a person, so make sure it's something that still sounds as strong as Alexandra.
