If we give our guns to the government and things get out of hand, what do we do ? call 911 (right) they put you on hold! we give our guns up then they will have us right where they want us, just like what they are doing to our children with dope already! We are going to have to defend ourselfs so when they come to me house my guns got stolen. I can't depend on a government who lets people into our country because its the right thing to do. if they start capping a few of them for tresspassing. maybe they will get the message and stay where they belong! All We Do Is Say Welcome to America! and then they blow up our WTC and kill all those people. anyone that will give Gods gift of life up for Allaha and train there childern to hate are sick and don't belong on our planet!

It has its pros and cons. If govt banned guns, VT shooting incident would have never happened. WTC attack is no way related to this and remember your gun is never going to stop that. I am against easy Gun license. Govt shouldnot provide license until they convince there is a threat to him/his life from a known source.

Why does shooting at Universities, malls, workplaces happen only in US?

Why does shootings happen so often in US than any other country(except countires affected from terrorism, IRAQ)

How often do you use your gun and how safe it is in your home where young kids also live.

Dont you think violent video games encourage youngsters to use guns more frequently

The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to insure this country remains free of tyrany. It is there to protect us and our rights from the government. With the 2nd we are citizens, without it we are subjects.

I think the purpose of the 2nd is because the founding fathers feared that a corporation could take over the government like the East Indies Company and we the people would have to take the country back. I think this fear is still valid today especially when a president that acts more like a father figure that knows best and states that he is going to run the country like the CEO and did.

We should be allowed to keep our guns, but of course that won't happen.  Look at the new strategy, they are saying that the only reason we are allowed to bear arms is because of militia, and we are beyond that point.  So the government figures we don't need them anymore.  My thought is that soon only military and reservists will be allowed to own guns, which sucks, but there it is.
