  1. Nope, I'm more concerned with the thousands of dead people who are currently registered to vote as democrats. I'm concerned with the tens of thousands of illegals who have been registered to vote as democrats. I'm concerned with the Union members who vote multiple times at different polling stations who vote for democrats. All these in violation of Federal Election law.

How about we adress the real voter fraud out there before we worry about a machine.

  2. yes.

There is enough evidence to create reasonable doubt about the integrity of the results they produce.

No matter how much technology progresses, there should always be a secondary paper trail, this voting that we do in America is far too important to trust to the oversight of a select few without an opportunity for a real checks and balances.

  3. I think Americans should be very concerned with the use of electronic voting machines. If you introduce this into the whole voting mechanic it also opens a venue for electronic manipulation. Whats to say that a programmer could be paid an x amount of dollars for the number of votes to say in a certain direction? Its not impossible if everyone is voting via computer. The information age we live in is like two-sided sword. On one hand techology is a great ingenuity and beneficial for voting as far as tallying and crunching numbers but on the other hand if any type of malice or foul play was involved the head programmer and only the guy behind the keyboard would know about it. Its proven throughtout history the government has a hard time admitting to mistakes. Will the government be honest if it accidently erased a certain amount of votes which can of been in favor of one candiatde over the other? I think its best that we stay at the current voting machine system or even at a paper ballot. If anything were to happen, one could investigate it and have more options for obtaining evidnce as well

  4. Yeah, they can be untrustworthy because if the power goes out then we're screwed.

Well, I'm not sure but what I do think about voting for a new president is that the Electoral College is stupid. In the election between Bush and Gore, Al Gore won the popular vote but Bush won the Electoral College. That is not what the people wanted. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

  5. Unless there is a paper trail, definitely YES.  It is a fact, that these electronic machines ......... well let's just say it would be very easy to commit fraud in this election.  Without a paper trail, IF one of the candidates were to contest the votes, no one, no one will be able to re-tally those votes.  Not a democratic process or very smart if you ask me.

  6. YES, everyone should be concerned, but apparently most are too numb:

  7. No, most of the ones that I have used are more scan tron type versus the push button electronic ones.  This makes it easier to read and count and harder to make mistakes.
