He is nowhere near as good as the top players. I think it's so stupid all these British (I'm British) people placing their hopes on this man's shoulders. He needs to improve his game before he is Grand Slam material, and the amount of expectation and hype surrounding him won't help him do that.

I think that he has a chance at the semi-finals in a couple of years.  Men's tennis is pretty deep.

Well he did play very well today but he doesn't have a great draw. He'll play Gasquet in the 3rd round and if he gets by him (which he could), Nadal will be waiting. Can't see him pulling that one off. Maybe in a year or two he will be grand slam material but I don't think he's consistent enough yet. Needs to avoid injury so he can build some serious momentum to challenge the top dogs.
