  1. no cos hleb didnt want to stay at Arsenal and Nasri is a talented young player who will fit into his own position this year

  2. No,Hleb is near 30 and Nasri is young so it was a good buy for Arsenal.

  3. No. They have made a good decision bcoz if someone wants to leave then he must be free to leave otherwise he will be a headaque for the team. So for that reason i think its agood decision.

  4. To be fair I personally think that Wenger is making a lot of mistakes by selling experienced players like Flamini and Hleb and buying young inexperienced players such as Samir Nasri. But Nasri plays good football but isn't used to play in top teams like Arsenal. So I think that Wenger should rather consider buying experienced players such as Samuel Eto'o and Berbatov rather than signing young players like Nasri. Wenger is trying to prepare a team for the future by buying such young players, a team that will last longer than other teams. Unlike Chelsea who have lots of players in their Mid 30's and so on...

  5. Terrible mistake

  6. Not at all. Expect Nasri to bring a spark of star quality back to Arsenal. Plus, an international footballer with a name almost like mine, and playing for my Gunners!!!! What more could I ask for?

  7. Not at all.

Hleb was good, but he's the past, Nasri is the present and the future, he's good, very good, i saw him on Sunday and he's like a little whippet!

He's going to hopefully stay at Arsenal for a very very long time.

  8. Hleb had a very good game last night with Barcelona......His speed and skill was very noticeable and played very well with his new teammates...

I think the key difference here is that Hleb has far more experience than Nasri to handle the rigorous season in the Premiership.

Nasri will adjust and I am sure he will be a very talented player for Arsenal, but I think Arsenal will struggle again when it matters...its not always about having the best talent, its about getting the results.

I do think Walcott may have a breakout season this year, so he is someone to look out for....

  9. I think so. Hleb was good now, whereas Nasri may be great in the future. Arsenal look to the future too much and as a result never have enough quality experienced players at the present.

It's a good revenue generator at least, and Arsenal are probably the most impressive top four club in terms of their economic policy.

Having said that, I don't know if Hleb wanted away or whatever, maybe he was keen to leave so Wenger didn't have any alternative.

  10. Hleb is a good player but not a great one, is 27... Nasri in younger, he can improve his game cause he's only 21 and is already a star in his national team, france, one of da best in the world. arsenal fans must just wait... he has a very big talent!

  11. Not in the slightest, samir nasri is a good player just now and will be a great player in a short while, you just wait and see.

  12. Hleb lacks of goals so selling him may be good and he is near 30. Time will tell to prove Nasri is successful or not.

  13. no not at all

nasri is younger ,already a star and he will be a frequent striker for arsenal this season

    just wait and see

hleb is chasing after the money

hope we got rid of him

nasri is just the player we need now

  14. It is a pity to sell hleb but Nasri is young enough. Wenger always likes young players.

  15. Nasri is a good signing Helb was a heavy loss i think Nasri once he settles in will do wonders with Fabregas and the Arsenal team but they need Adebayor to finish more chances without that they will fail this season.

but the transfers for them really are not that bad but can they gel well this season will be the question.

  16. I don't think so cos Samir Nasri is younger.

  17. Good and also Bad.Good for buying Nasri.........bad for selling Hleb..

  18. yes......

  19. Hleb is an excellent player, great close control, great ball retention. That said he wanted to leave, so what choice did Arsenal have?

Also, it must be remembered that for an attacking midfielder, despite all of his ability he did lack end product, especially in terms of goals.

Nasri might not have the all around ability of Hleb yet, but as far as goals go, I would suggest even at his young age he should have more in his locker. If Arsenal can also get Rosicky fit i would suggest Hleb wouldn't be missed too badly.

  20. definitetly, and that will soon be very evident. of course we man, utd fans are loving it.

  21. no ways Nasri is a top player !

  22. Hleb was always slightly overated IMO, Nasri will be a good signing for Arsenal, he may take a few months to settle in but after that he will be great I think.
