Poor Nathan Bracken was right at time but one English bowler who was never to be seen Simon Jones accused him of being silly and even went to extent of saying Australia are showing sour grapes. If the laws says even at that time using artificial substance on ball is illegal then it is illegal.I knew how Australian cricketers were being shown after that Ashes loss in 18 years.

  1. NO,the five nil whitewash in the last series was enough punishment and proof that cheats never prosphere.

  2. Do you really think we are such bad sports? Our intention is to win the next Ashes, not to rehash old issues. That is not the Australian way, despite what some users here like to claim.

  3. no

  4. No! Australia aren't interested in doing any such thing. It's in the past as Ponting & Clarke have both said, let it stay there.Whatever the Aussie players looked like or felt after the 2005 Ashes campaign, they put it behind them as good sportsmen do & got on with regaining the Ashes. It is best if everyone forgets it, we hold no animosity toward Trescothick.

  5. Dear Shailesh,

First of all I thank you for removing that Q and appreciate you for understanding the emotions of other users,

Punter and Clarke are right that past is history and to focus on cricket.

It is as bad as digging a graveyard and that to on the claims made by a patient who has left cricket due to mental illness.

Treschoticks revelations are not shocking but they indicate the state of his mind and the need of medical attention  required to cure his mental illness completely.

  6. No mate, the past is the past.noting we can do about it 3 years down the track.Infact  a few of us Aussie's thinks it is pretty funny actually..

I do feel sorry for Nathan Bracken though,he did come out after these matches and say something but he was abuse by Kookee's favorite player-Simon Jones..

Next year the Pom's better watch out,we'll be well and truely on the ball next time..No more mints will be the signs in the stands..

  7. No..I saw let it be..Revenge is sweet and our revenge will be to retain the Ashes next year..

I am a little put off by this revelation of Trescothic's but it has happened 3 years ago,too long ago to do anything about it..

And yes i happend to have a giggle when i read this yesterday in the newspapers..

  8. No.

Does a little bit of sugar on the ball really make that much of a difference???

  9. Why should Australia lodge a complaint with ICC? It is there for everyone to see (or read). If there is any move, that should come from ICC itself. And if I have I accessed right, It was Trescothick's responsibility to keep the ball shining. Who handed over him the responsibility? It is not Trescothick who is in soup, it is the English Team in trouble.

And there should be an investigation into the jelly bean incident (Zak-KP Spat), because there were some references (in Y!A)  that it had to do more than distracting Zak.

  10. Marcus Treschotick who is he, oh yes he must be writing a new book this will help the sales, but nothing will help the poms in the next ashes series, what was his average about 35 just another poor poms they had one moment of glory in there little career get an obe or something similar there egos get inflated and whats happens then, THEY GET SMASHED 5 - 0 in australia that all that matters for Treschotick he is finished

  11. they wont because its a past incident~

  12. Of course they are not going to complain. The mint might have helped a bit but really the poms outplayed us, as simple as that.
