  1. I work with a guy from Brisbane and he's very funny, he's a bit of a smartass though.

  2. i met an american girl yesterday whilst drinking cracked a few jokes and she just looked really confused and asked if i had a problem with her.. i had to explain that it was a joke and that everyone is laughing at the joke not at her. our sense of humor can be quite politically incorrect as we dont take stuff too seriously. we just like to laugh alot. however on fox watching some american stand up comedy shows i dont understand it .. like the jokes are sarcastic and seem serious lol.

  3. We have a tendency to laugh at ourselves, Americans can't really understand that as their too often full of themselves!

  4. They can be and I think most of it is because of their unique accents.  I like talking with Australian people.  I met an Australian women on here several months ago and we developed a nice relationship.

  5. very much so. I love their humor. I have a crush on a s**y Aussie.

  6. Well, as much as I hate to generalize, as in "Americans are full of themselves" I think Australians are funny in the sense of their sense of humor. I always start to smile when I hear that "Australian" accent then the person says, "I am from New Zealand you idiot". "Bloody, Americans." I know, that's a lame joke. But I am just so uptight, today.

Even though we speak a different language (just ask my English wife) the Australians I have meant have always been warm and friendly and funny. I've meant them only while I was in the service when I was in Singapore and Hong Kong (during the Viet Nam conflict), on a cruise ship (as tourists), and in San Diego (as tourists). In every instance a "good nature" was displayed and we had a lot of fun fooling around, drinking (ha ha), and just enjoying the situation.

We have a lot in common including our mutual love of freedom, our steadfast reliance on each other in difficult times, and our criminal backgrounds. Sorry, another lame joke. But, England did send over 60,000 prisoners to the North American colonies before the penal colonies were established in Australia.

One of my regrets in life is that I have never been to Australia. My ans. to your question is, yes.

Edit: ha ha ha ha Latrell that was great, a perfect example of Australian (men's) humor. Thumbs up!

  7. I love Australian Humor, I'm still getting over this Australian commercial.
