Do you think Barack Obama will be president?

As a Uk citizen I haven't really heard much about Mr Obama just bits and pieces of news on the 6 O'clock news. But from what I have heard so far it sounds like Mr. Obama may win the presidential election. My second question who will be Mr. Obamas running mate do you think it will be Hilary Clinton?

I heard that those running for VP have to go through some very tough questioning something 12 point questions is that true and there cannot be an ounce of scandal in a candidates past a lot tough questions will be asked is this true? Thank You.

I hope it is. The last thing the U.S. needs is a 71 year old war vet war fiend who will bring the country even further down the drain. I'm not even an Obama supporter but rather him that John McCain.

Its pretty sad that the U.S. can't come up with a better candidate, you have a younger inexperienced black guy who isn't very versed with foreign affairs vs. a 70 year old guy who's still talking about ******* Vietnam for christ sakes

I would be willing to bet on it. I would say Obama has a 90% chance of being the next president of the United States. He was leading McCain by 15% according to Newsweek Magazine just a couple of weeks ago. Americans will not elect another Republican after the last eight years. Besides, McCain has too much in common with Bush on the big issues, and look at all of the problems we are facing now.

As far as his running mate... nobody knows. We don't even know when we will know. There is plenty of speculation though. It is possible he will pick Hillary, but no guarantees. I think it would be a very strategic thing to do on his part. If Obama did that, he would be unstoppable. Joe Biden, Bill Richardson, and Jim Web are also forerunners in for the Vice Presidency. I'm sure there is a lot of scrutinizing they have to go through. Obama has put together a team to help him choose his running mate. It should be a decision that he makes after heavy contemplating. I just wish he and McCain would announce their decisions already! We've been talking about this it seems like for months.
