For years no building was allowed to stand taller then St Patricks spire, but now Bonos tower will, and what are they doing to the Clarance? Did we not learn our lesson from the ESB offices in Fitzwilliam Square?

  1. why not? tourists would love it :)

  2. Bono and co should be thrown off the quays!

And they can take that meat-head Gery Ryan as well!

  3. i know

i think bono expects some form of reward for the charity ,,work'' he does for Africa

    oh he gets my goat

    :@

  4. No, I don't think the change will be any improvement.  Too many heritage buildings have disappeared already. No, we have learnt nothing.  It's still one rule for some, and a different one for the rest of us.  Another aspect of our two-tier society.

But if this 'redevelopment'  does well and they make lots of money, isn't it a pity that the Irish economy will not benefit at all, now that they are tax exiles, living elsewhere?  Taking as much as they can out of the country, but returning as little as possible?  But perhaps that's a different issue.

  5. The time to complain was when the planning permission was sought, not now.

  6. It would be great for tourists especially the Americans, they worship Bono and U2. To be honest I think it's a bit too tall

  7. No.

  8. Bono should stick to music and charity work. Is he trying to take over the world?

  9. hi you

i fear the same is about to happen down the quays and dock lands of cork city we may all think it is bad thing to happen and all that more over now that Ireland has had a bit of a down turn and all that my view is that thing would look nice the way they were but we must move forward to
