  1. no hes just exposed himself as being the self centered manipulator that hes allways been..how many yrs had he threatened retirement before he finally had to go through with it.ppl were tired of hearing he might so he had too.every yr he blows it with horrible season ending heroic attempts, then threatens retirement.this immediatly shuts up the complainers cuz they would rather have their godlike farse at qb and lose than play without 1.in turn they just blame everyone else possible for the loss, but never brett..he waited till till the draft b4 announcing a comeback, this screwed the teams chances to go after other needs, and waits till the mini camps are over b4 pushing it.again s******g the team.he refused to help with the tutoring of rogers, now theres a team player.he said why help a guy who wants my job, awesome brett.  he was a complete a***e as a backup in atlanta thats why they dumped him..holmgren couldnt control him cuz he woulda been linched so he left.wolf had even less a chance.how many players carreers were cut short laying their bodies on the line to catch one of his off target passes or ill advised passes? now hes back again ,doesnt care what damage he causes to the team cuz the fans(the brett farse fans} not true packer team fans will back him and he knows it.

  2. No. I think he is having second thoughts because even if you love this game, you can only play it for so long. He is just making sure he doesn't have to look back on this down the road and say d**n, i should have played.

  3. I think he is very immature, selfish, and spoiled. He had been cuddled by Packer management and the press for years and finally the we got a manager who had enough of his childish antics and a coach who is developing a cohesive team that does not center around on guy. Frankly I am tired of people who would hold children to a higher standard giveing this guy a pass because he can throw a football.  This is what I don't like about sports, its time for the NFL to make a rule if a player retires he cannot be reinstated for one year after said retirement because this could have been avoided and the League the Packers and Brett would all be better off.

  4. Oh man.  As a Green Bay Packers fan all my life, I've grown up watching Favre and I was sad when he retired, but felt it was okay because he had a good last season and said he was 'tired' and all of that..... but now.... I think he's just putting himself and the rest of the Packers in a bad situation.  He's making himself seem a little selfish, I think, by retiring and then kind of saying, "oops, I changed my mind".... and he might push Aaron out of the QB position in the process.  Sure, Aaron may not have done a very good job... but the Packers were ready to move on with him.  I think Favre should have just stayed in retirement.  I mean what if he goes back to being the Packers' QB and does horribly?  Everyone will be like, "we told you so."

Even so.... I love Favre and I hope that if he DOES come back to play for the Packers, he'll do a good job.  I'll be rooting for him...

  5. Honestly Brett needs to make up his mind once and for all.

  6. no i reallly dont i used to be a fan...but now everytime i turn on the tv i see his picture...im tired of it he needs to make up his mind

  7. I don't think it has hurt his image.  If anything, it shows that a real man can change his mind and not lock himself into something based on some artificial standard that "once you decide you must live with your decision".

Sure, there are times in life when a decision is irrevocable, but this one wasn't, and, rather than sit in a corner silently suffering his mistake, he took advantage of the opportunity to correct it.   More power to him!

I was thinking though, wouldn't it be cool if he also corrected his mistaken pronunciation of his last name?  (you misspelled it, it's "Favre").

I mean, some people would think a whole new football player just arrived on the scene! (well, until they noticed how old he was, and that he looked a bit familiar)

  8. No way....he should of stayed retired and fished in Mississippi!!!

  9. Haven't you heard?

    It's all about Brett.

No one else, nothing else matters.

I guess you didn't get the memo
