Do you think Bush's revamp of the Endangered species act is precedent to drilling in Alaska?

Or drilling for oil where otherwise prohibited?

Why else would Bush do such a thing?

  1. i think u r very observant, i don't know if this is good or bad, but right now i'm in favor of controlled limited drilling there


  2. Wow - obviously none of the other posters have a clue what this questions is referring to.

    I read the papers though.

    I don't know - I think it probably is but I think the changes are designed to be more sweeping - it completely guts the Endangered Species act AND allows any govt project to not have to care about the impact on the environment.  

    I actually think it is awful - the act hasn't been changed since the 1960s because it works - and it works the way it is supposed to.  Considering how crappy the govt has been in managing other crises during this administration - it is like having the fox guarding the henhouse.  

    This administration is trying to push through so many pro-business anti-everybody else changes before they leave.  

  3. Yep if the number of animals in Alaska are on the rise shouldn't the endangered species list be revisited?

    Also can you provide more details of what your objection is please.
