  1. no. but i hope they are. maybe they are idk they freak me out. Extraterrestrial stuff creeps me out i stay away from the sci fi channel and the UFO files.

  2. IDK...BUT...if just ONE is not a hoax.....then how scary is that!!!

How about the one that they say has something in it that does   something to people? I can't remember what it does...if it heals or makes their watches stop etc. A lot of people go there for that reason. Anyone on here know the one I'm talking about???

  3. Evidence shows that the plant stalks undergo unusual internal changes. They seem to be super-heated and bent in complex arrangements which defy human or mechanical effort. Stalks have the appearance of some internal force 'ballooning' them without snapping them. Very unusual phenomenon to explain if you're aware of the subtle physics effects operating .

  4. I think maybe they might have first started off as soemthing else and when people started noticing them in their crops, men popped up and said "hey, we did that!" just so that they would be noticed. Honestly, I think there is something else out there that is causing them. Maybe not aliens or anything - maybe so - but all I know and believe is that a few old boring men could not make so many detailed, gigantic, makings of art in mere hours? Impossible....

  5. i duuno about that, but i do believe that we're not th eonly ones out there =) bc if we're the smartest thing out there, we're in trouble!

  6. Although some have proven to be hoaxes, many have no KNOWN explanation, with several possibilities. Yes, some hoaxers explained how they did it with ropes and a board, but their hoaxes where in easily accessable areas, not in mountainous, heavily wooded areas with no roads, small, uncomplicated, not elaborate, in design, had no unusual energy levels, no ground indentations indicating heavy weight, no unusual plant and/or animal growth spurts/defects, no unusual animal reactions to the sites, were relatively recent, not hundreds of documented years old, and were usually limited to one. So what explanation exists for all the others? An extraordinary effort of time, elaboration, and expense would have had to go into producing crop circles having the above qualities just for a few laughs? I am a believer, just not sure what the source was-yes, it would require technology not easily explained by some drunken engineering students using ropes and boards-hard to imagine that bunch could make elaborate designs even for engineering students.Visit naturescorner.com, my website.

  7. no

  8. Yes, they are if fact a hoax. The perpetrators have come forward to show how they were made. The demonstration shows how every type of " crop circle " can be done.

  9. Obviously !

  10. I believe there are aliens, but for the life of me I can't figure out why they'd waste their time coming around here. Plus, the fact that there are cases of people making "fake" crop circles does give me a pause when another one happens. I guess all in all, I'm torn on the subject.

  11. not only are they a hoax, but the people who started the hoax admitted to doing it, and then they showed how they did it. What more do you want?

  12. Yes.

  13. Yes, they are a hoax and as wushuboy pointed out the men who started it have come out and explained how they did it, but yet the myth lives on.

I don't even believe the cattle mutilations are real either. There for a while we were hearing about eithe devil worshipers or aliens cutting up cattle, but that I believe is a hoax also.

Just like the so called satanic abuse scare of the eighties.

  14. No, I have seen some in Great Britton near Bath.

  15. yes, almost everything can be explained by science and crop circles are one of those that are explained. i believe they were using math to come up with the designs and then a board with ropes attached so they could stomp out the figure around 2 in the morning

  16. It's refreshing to see a lot of very sensible answers.  Good for most of you!  I especially enjoy TR's answer above.

  17. Not possible.  Aliens is a much simpler and more likely answer.

  18. Yes, I think they are all man made.

  19. Probably the first wasn't, but the ones that followed were.

  20. Crop circles are real.  They exist, have been created, discovered, photographed, measured, inspected, and analyzed.

Who makes them, other than some locals intent on drumming up a news story, is where the hoax part comes in.  Obviously the simplest explanation is that little green men (and women) flew faster than light for a distance of 500 to 1000 light years, buzzed around for a while, then decided to leave us messages and were just plain all out of writing tablets.(sarcasm off)  That makes a lot more sense than a bunch of drunk engineering students with a stick on a rope, some string, and way too much time ruining thousands of dollars worth of wheat, clover, alfalfa, corn, and other crops.

  21. Consider:

1.) Crop circles first appeared in Great Britain in the 1970s.

2.) Two credible men have admitted starting the hoax at that exact time.

In addition to the information above, consider also that as crop circles spread outside Great Britain, it was initially only to countries that spoke English.

The provenance is pretty cut and dried.

  22. The circles themselves are real. The whole mystery surrounding them is a hoax, though. They're simply man made and it has been proven - by the very group of merry men who made the very first crop circle ever!!! - that it can be done in the time span of less than a summer night. But it requires a whole lot of planning in advance.

  23. yes. there pre-made like lawn bushes shaped as ducks.

  24. Yes, this is kind of a hobby, and an art form to some.  This is a hoax.

There is really no other logical explanation, other than they are a hoax.  People think otherwise sometimes because of movies, TV shows, etc.

But just ask yourself, why would an alien civilization come thousands of light years to cut graffiti in a wheat field?  Yep, you are right.  They wouldn't, anymore than our astronauts would if they went to another world.

While it is exciting to think that aliens did it, there is just no evidence of it.  But plenty of evidence that it is done by hoaxers.

  25. yes i believe so

  26. Well, I look at it this way: since it's tremendously easy to create these complex shapes in cornfields at night with ropes and boards and a few helping hands, what reason is there to appeal to aliens as an explanation?

I love the idea that crop circles are "signposts" or markers for the aliens to use. The aliens travel hundred of light years through deep space to get to the earth, and all of a sudden they can't get around without leaving symbols in cornfields?  :)

  27. Well, yeah.  Especially since the guys who made the first one admitted to it, and then showed how they made it very simply from a board and a piece of rope.  Oh, and you can hire people to do it for you.  So yeah.  If it's so simple a couple of drunk guys can do it with very few materials, why assume aliens?
