    Apparently, he's very well respected.

  5. h**l NO.!

    The dude is legend.

    just, amazing.

  6. Santana was one of the first musicians with average musical skill to be overhyped by savvy major record label PR people.  Back in the early 70's, social liberal activitists over promoted artists from minority back grounds.

Santana happened along at the right place and time, getting just enough propoganda out to promote him as a minority musical super star--much like a drunk / high Janis Joplin stumbled into the right people at the right time.

Trust me, there was NOTHING special about Janis---but the PR machine made her out to be a hippie diva.....and so she became one, hopping on fame's wild horse---and rode it fast down the tracks.

However, death galvanized Joplin, Jimi and Morrison into being rock icons they're hailed to this day as being.

  7. I haven't heard that name in like at least a year, so no...to answer your question.

Then again, though I'm not too knowledgeable in that genre, I do enjoy his music very much.

  8. nah santana is godly

  9. Are you kidding me? He makes that guitar cry, sing, laugh, and talk.
