Do you think Carter is a good girl's name?

My name is Carter, but I am a girl. I have only heard of two other girls named Carter, but I think that it sounds more feminine than masculine. Whenever people meet me they assume I was going to be a boy. I love my name, and don't understand why it isn't more popular for girls. What do you think?

I see it as a boy's name, to be honest. But honestly it doesn't matter what any body else thinks---it's your name!!!
