Do you think Cats hypnotise Humans with their purring? ?

Question

I am sure that my cat hypnotises me with his afternoon purr & cuddle. I get home, we lay on the bed for a cuddle , he purr's LOUDLY and I am suddenly knocked out asleep.

Does your cat play this trick on you?

I know!!  They're so cute and clever. I LOVE the sound of purring - I do think they're pretty self centred and do it for their ow pleasure though and not ours....

Lol, I sometimes think that when my cat purrs on my bed as I'm dropping off to sleep. I think it makes you relax because you know that your little furry companion is feeling happy and glad to see you.

my cat wakes me up by dropping his smelly old boxing glove on my face and sticking his paws in my water and shaking them all over me, ... once i am wide awake.. he settles down to purr and snooze!!

I know what you mean! It is very relaxing and peaceful when my kitten sits on my lap and purrs! It also cheers me up when I'm feeling down!

i seriously hate cats. especially when they try mating late at night and get all noisy you cant sleep. i think they're a good excuse for an air rifle.

Yes, mine are the same, theres something very relaxing about curling up with a cat, bless em!! or do they wait for you to nod off then go and raid the food cupboard???!!!!
