The forensic scientists say there was decomposing human traces in her car.

Its so sad, how could a mom do that?

Judging by the way she doesn't seem very worried at all about her daughter, even going to parties, yeah...I think she did.

I think it may have been an accident (ie, she fell in the pool and drowned), the mom panicked, put the body in the car trunk, and while she was figuring out how to dispose of it, the body started decomposing. The grandparents are aware that the mom knows what happened to the little girl, and was responsible for her disappearance, but they're in denial that their daughter actually had anything to do with the death fo theri granddaughter.
