Do you think China Cheat at the Olympics ?

In Gymnastics did they cheat. They did look really young and you have to be at least 16. And this was on cbs news

A few of them are obliviously 13 or so.  When the communist government declares you to be 16, well, in Chinese years, your suddenly 16.

yes! they definately did cheat! first off, there is no way those girls are 16, i mean for gods sake one has teeth missing! and when she and nastia lukin tied for gold on bars, the procedure they used to break the tie was ridiculous! i bet they just made it up on the spot. china cheats at everything but i feel bad for them because they earn like 2 cents per hour from their horrible communist government and are imprissoned if they dont believe what theyre government tell them, so honestly i feel bad for the chinese gymnasts having to watch nastia lukin hugging her father after every event when they were taken away from their parents at age 3. oh well, their parents should have known better than to stay in that heck hole of a country.

I didn't think they cheated at first because from what I have seen a  lot of Asian women seem to look years younger than they are.  It wouldn't surprise me if a 24-year-old Chinese woman looked like she was 14.  Then I started to actually to hear about a cheating scandal in the media.  Now I believe  they really might have cheated.  Then again, they might not have known her real age and thought she was old enough.  Look as some of the baseball players who come from other countries.  We don't really know a lot of their ages because years ago they falsified documents so they could play in the Little League World series.

Yes, of course they were cheating.  The Party thinks its above the law or any set of rules.  They think anything is justified if it reinforces their power over China or increases China's prestige.

The evidence that's all over the TV and internet HAS been reported to the international bodies that govern gymnastics, who simply refused to investigate.

They're too much of spineless cowards, afraid of upsetting the Chinese, to do anything about it, even though its blatant cheating. They simply hide behind the fantasy that passports couldnt be falsified by the very same government that issues them....

edit: Even if they were 16 and just havent hit puberty yet (because they were starved or treated with drugs maybe? :P) it doesnt make it any more right...the idea is to NOT allow prepubescent girls to compete.  The idea is to protect young girls whose bodies havent yet matured from the rigors of athletic competition.  Its not fair to ask a 14 year old girl to sacrifice her health to win a game on TV.  Stunting the onset of puberty still violates the spirit of that rule, even if not the letter.

It's true some Chinese or Asians in general look younger than they are. But it's possible they are really younger than 16 but my view is that the olympics shouldn't have an age limit, as long as they are equal physically, weight and such.

I really hate people talk about this cheating thing about China.

1. You guys need to know Asian people generally looks younger.

2. For those who said they cheated, please prove it, instead of being like  little kids gossiping. Also, for those who said Chinese athletes are taking drugs and stuff, come on, grow up. Shouldn't we congratulate them instead of being jealous? Like the Chinese feel all happy about Phelps winning 8 golds. Don't make the Americans look bad.

Yes...they have cheated.  There is too much proof out there.  The IOC are COWARDS who refuse to do anything.  We can only hope that once the olympics are over, that they WILL do something.  (Take away their medals and ban them from the olympics would be appropriate.)

Honestly, I don't really blame them for not doing anything while they ARE in China..  They would just "Disappear" if they did.

China has been known to cheat at various olympic games.  It is not new news that China has also faked its' opening celebrations at the olympic games as well.  China has always cheated and this olympics has seen an increase of gold medals by more than double than it was in the last olympics.  My question is what can we do about China cheating at various things?  Will we just sit back and let them cheat forever, you decide!

China is definitely cheating.  Those girls on that gymnastics team, especially the one that won the gold medal, are not 16.  I doubt they're even 14.  The Chinese are embarrassing themselves, globally.  Their cheating is shameful.

Of course they cheated, did you happen to watch baseball. Even with the cheating our guys and gals kicked their butts in many events. Imagine if they lose, China would probably eliminate one of their family members. Thank God for living in America!!

Yes they cheated. If the Olympics were'nt in China they wouldn't have fake passports, and USA would have the Gold.
