Question:

Do you think Christians are just as irrational as Atheists?

Christians can't prove the existence of God and Atheists cant disprove the existence of God. So why do we pick one of these sides. Maybe if we all were "logical" then we would be agnostc and not care one way or another. But then why are we here? Since we are here, we must believe in something one way or another based on faith.

  1. The bible has all the answers on this question. Why

not just become a believer?Christians are commanded

    to do so!

  2. "Irrational" means acting or believing in certain ways despite reason and logic, and many atheists have reached their position on the god issue by USING reason and logic. So I think your own reasoning is a bit off here.

  3. I do hope you're an elaborate Poe.

Educate yourself on the most basic laws of logic: The Burden of Proof. The burden of proof is on the one claiming that something exists, not the one not automatically believing it. Why don't you prove that Leprechauns, Unicorns, the Flying spaghetti monster don't exist. But we already know you can't since one can't prove a negative.

  4. some may be  but most  who have asked Jesus into their life  know  he os alive and living in them.

  5. Because of religion. Gods may or may not be real, but religion definitely exists.

Without religion the term "atheist" would be moot.

  6. Your question should read:

"Do you think Atheists are just as irrational as Christians"

    My answer is no.

  7. I don't believe either Christians or Athiests are "irrational". We all have beliefs, and it's fine that someone doesn't share my beliefs. I think something boths sides can agree on though is how we treat each other.

  8. Atheists are logical, you can not prove something that isn't there.

  9. Christians are logical, you cannot disprove something that IS there.

  10. Perhaps one can not 'prove' God based on the lower 'walk by sight' standard (verses walk by faith; 2 Cor.5:7), of which both atheists and christians are working from. Test; (T or F) old testament = Genesis-Malachi; my answer F.

  11. How is it irrational to not believe in something which is undetectable with any device or with any science study? There is as much evidence for the existence of Ra, Thor, Zeus or Jupiter (the Roman god). So is it irrational not to believe in them too? Should Christians (rationally) believe in them too?

  12. What seems most logical to you --

I don't see it, so I'm not going to base my life on something I don't even know exists, or

I'm not sure, but I'm still going to base my entire life on it.

Come on, now, we all know the answer. Both cannot prove, but if you have no proof, why devote your entire life to it?

  13. Atheists are more logical than Believers. We look at things with an intellectual eye.

Believers only need to hear "Goddidit" and they'll believe it.

    -

Atheists cannot disprove something that is there, therefore you are illogical.

But God is not there. We have not seen evidence of a God. Besides, which God? There are a thousand God created by man, many older than Christianity and Islam. Which God is the right one?

If you're going to ask how we can prove a negative.

There are no alive group of men that have biological wings growing out of their butt living on Earth.

I think we can prove the negative.

  14. Sigh, search "the onus of proof"

It is not using faith to doubt something that is unsupported by evidence.
