Do you think Closer Frankie Rodriguez will win AL MVP this season?

Yeah I'm aware that the MVP award is usually given to Position Players, but Roger Clemens (Pitcher) won the MVP award one season. Frankie Rodriguez is on pace to shatter the Single Season Saves record, and his team will make the playoffs (Hamilton and Sizemore's team will not). I don't see many Legit MVP Contenders in the AL besides Hamilton, or of Course A-Rod. Do you think K-Rod has a shot at the AL MVP?

  1. Yes K-Rod is the best player on the best Team, if the Rangers were doing real good, then Hamilton will probably win it.

  2. Nope, he will NOT win the MVP....Hamilton has it all but wrapped up...

There is no one standing out besides him?  Look at Hamiltons stats...Plus he is single handedly keeping the otherwise terrible Rangers alive in the wild card...

Let me ask you something, how can someone who pitches maybe 4 innings a week be qualified for the league MVP?  Maybe he has a shot (outside shot) at the Cy Young but he has literally zero chance of winning MVP

Or we can do this....When, not if Hamilton is named MVP I will send you an email and you can admit you were wrong ok?

  3. With the Angels having a 12 game lead he may get less save chances. So i don't think he will

  4. F-Rod will have a good chance.

  5. MVP maybe Cy Young yes

  6. I Don't Think So.

    Saves are an overrated statistic.

You can come in with a 3 run lead which makes the save easier.

I still believe a position player should receive the award.

  7. I think Hmilton will win MVP but Frankie Rodriguez has a good chance at the Cy Young

  8. Did you just say Sizemore's team won't make the playoff?

    *I can't hear you!!!*

    Boo-hoo! :(

    Cleveland fan here!

In all seriousness, K-Rod COULD get it, but I think it would be a hard sell to give it to a closer...

  9. him or hamilton but hes got an outside chance

  10. A little one, he won't though.

  11. I am sure i will catch a rashon of c**p but...no. It is very rare a pictcher gets it. He is doing good, but not Cloems or Gange good when they got MVP's for pitching.

I am saying it & will probably get c**p for it but...the only logical thing to happen the second half is A-Rod will have an unbelivable 2nd half & the Yankees will take the Division (since there is no Manny) He will take the MVP since no one else is stepping up to take it. Sorry folks but that is just the most realistic thing.

With Hamilton, does everybody forget the Rangers are not going to make the playoffs? If you dont win you are eliminated as an MVP cadidate it is really that simple.
