Do you think Colin Edwards should still be Rossi's team mate next year? Why or why not?

I'm a fan of the Texas Tornado, but come on now, he's had access to arguably the best team, bike and team mate for a while now. Where's the results?? Is it time to give his place to someone else?

  1. I hope he goes back to WSBK on the new RC61 honda 1200 cc of growling power

don't forget Colin said he would retire by 30

  2. I'm with 51 on this one unless they go for three bikes - which I doubt - he should come back to WSBK's which has really suited him in the past.

Why would he want to step down (?!) to AMA if SBKS on offer? I know, someone phone up Karl Foggarty and tell him to stick him on the MV!

  3. i think colin is awsome, i saw him at loudon a few times, but i think he is  stuck, need to go back to superbike where he belongs,

  4. I dont think the yamaha is that good, Rossi is fantastic, nobody else before Rossi showed up was doing anything with it. Colin isnt doing so bad, he has lousy luck however.

  5. No.  I love Colin Edwards but I think he is getting a little long in the tooth for MotoGP.  His time may be up at the end of this season.  If he cannot find a ride in WSBK I really believe he should come to the AMA and ride for anything but Suzuki.  Sure it is a step down, most likely he is financially set, but he still has the desire to race.

  6. I like him a lot. But we have to admit it, the last season wasn't a good one for him. The team is one of the best, his team mate is THE BEST :)) but I'm not so sure about the bike. Maybe because of the tyres. You see that also Rossi has bad luck. It will be a pity not to see him race in MotoGP next year. I want to keep seeing him on a bike. He is a good rider but maybe he needs a change... Who knows?

I still hope for 3 riders in Fiat Yamaha Team! ;)

  7. no Edwards shouldn't be rossi's team mate and heres why he's a super bike rider that went into MOTO GP to late in life and tbh isn't good enough to push rossi on to the next level hes a WSB rider and a bloody good one at that but no MOTO GP man Jorge Lorenzo should be rossi's team mate and Colin should partner haga in the WSB championship as for he's had access to arguably the best team, bike i think u miss understand just how good rossi is and jeremy burgess the Yamaha is a pile of junk that rossi has ridden the wheels off for years without rossi Yamaha wouldn't be anywhere near the front

  8. I really like Colin. I had the great pleasure of meeting him at Northallerton a few years back. Really nice guy, but his season on paper has not been great.

Shame really. You have to think from a teams point of view, Lorenezo's Land ! is the better signing for 2008.

I for one think it would be great for Colin #5 to go back home and wipe the floor with Mladin & co.

Good guy, good rider, but maybe not good enough................

  9. Yeah I think Lorenzo is a good signing and Edwards will do well with Tech3, but the Fiat Yamaha is well down on top end speed and Michelin haven't really delivered consistently so far this season.  It is just a tribute to Rossi because no one on the planet could have come close to his results this season on that bike/tyre combo.

  10. I think Colin is great, but he really hasn't done much in Motogp. Maybe he should go back to superbikes, Bayliss had success when he went back. It's time for some new blood and with Rossi saying he will leave by the time he's 31 or 32 they need a new young star to take over. Lorenzo was a good choice.
