  1. You forgot the American people who voted for them, bought gas guzzling SUVs and borrowed more money than they could afford to pay back!

  2. All three.

The president is the initial and most important cause.  I don't feel it's neccesary to explain why, we all know the damage he's done to our country the past six years.

The current congress is powerless to stop them. Their actions have been too little, too late.  And anything they do act on, they then fail to overturn the veto.  Pelosi is also too spineless to take real action to fix the situation.

The media has been [trying to] scare us all along.  Especially on the economy, and their actions [primarily to get ratings] are causing the public to take actions which are hurting the economy further.

  3. I feel that the president is as only as good as congress or there advisers. Is the system not in place for checks and balances.

And yes the media is to blame. Just think if the media started reporting tonight on the news that unemployment is way up and the recession is not true and all things are fine or better than fine what would that do to the economy at this point. Hate watching the news it is all doom and gloom. Glad I have kids Sponge Bob makes me laugh and we all need some of that in today's world... where has a positive approach gone to.

The sky is falling the sky is falling... See you almost believed me LOL

  4. The national media is without question scaring people way more then necessary.  Things really are not that bad!!!

As for who is to blame.  Both, and us as consumers.  For years we have be living day to day with no concern for the future.  Now it has come back to bite us in the ***.
