Anyone wonder whether Cotto will ever be the same? Or maybe I am going overboard. Vargas was never the same after Tito

  1. i think he will be fine he is to good of a fighter not to Manny P aquiao lost to Eric Morales  but that didn't stop him to me i think there should be a rematch but Cotto is way to mature and focused to have a break down just remember Vargas talked all that **** against Dela Hoya and lost to him while using steroids after that fight with Dela Hoya Vargas was never the same because he just couldn't accept the defeat against Oscar  because Vargas hated Oscar and the loss really hurt his pride but Cotto accepted his defeat and he will move on i think this loss will humble Cotto and will help him be a better boxer in the future

  2. No he has better defense then fernando Vargas

  3. No because Vargas was a fighter going into his fight with Tito that could brawl and thats all and never been pushed to the limits like cotto was. Cotto was wobbled in his fight with corley and torres and overcame them.  HE also defeated a very skilled fighter shane mosley, zab judah, and he also beat champions like Torres, MAlinaggi, N'dou, and quintana.  HE is a h**l of a fighter but i cant say he will ever be the same b/c that was a brutal fight, but i think the shots he hit with margarito with wouldve put down any other fighter in the world, but margarito has a unbeleivable chin.  And to note that i think tito was not as hungry or had the chin of margarito.  Cottos will was broken in that fight but i think he has the talent to overcome it and fight like he did before that fight once again.

  4. Of course not! As puertorican, I'm really proud of Miguel and it was a sad moment to my country (I even cried). Hes a warrior and he said yesterday when he arrived to the island that he lost a battle not war. He said that hes going to come back at the end of the year. He looked terrible almost irreconcilable and was sad. As always there are stupid people that want to put him down, and he even said to the press that some of  them are the ones that create the buzz about his relationship with his uncle and trainer. There is no comparison between Cotto and Vargas. Vargas is a street fighter just like Mayorga. Miguel has class and I hope to see him victorious once again.

  5. Cotto is young and is getting better as time passes. look at his previous fight you will notice he has come a long way. he is disappointed but i think he will bounce back its only one loss (though a big one). hopefully he learned from this fight. i think cotto is a great boxer but needs to work on defense if he wants to overcome challengers like margarito. also cotto did not look bad he just got tired and margarito capitalized on it.

  6. That's the first thing that came to mind after the fight. I was rooting for AM, but right away I thought to myself "someone has to sit Cotto down and have a good talk with him, don't let his emotions get to him." You could tell he was beside himself after the match and I wouldn't want him to get this mentle lapse like Vargas where he just doesn't fight the same anymore. He is older then when Vargas fought Trinidad so maybe his maturity will help.
