  1. Yes, but during the weeks, he seems happy, he's very funny too! I LOOOVE funny people! :D (I see too much videos on NASCAR) But when I hear little interviews on that site, he seems happy! :)

oh so now i get a thumbs down! oh that's just fantastic....

    ♥♥♥Go Dale Jr.!!!!♥♥♥

  2. I don't think he's depressed, I think he's trying to adjust to racing under someone other than his stepmom, he's doing better this year, he had an awful year last year, and I'm sure the disagreements with his stepmom didn't help the situation. He's a very professional racer, and once he's adjusted to racing under Hendrick, I'm sure we'll all see the man we love to watch race. Go Dale Jr.

  3. Most of his interviews are at the track. We all know Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have the politically correct, nice guy, corporate image speech patterns down perfect. If you listened to Dale talk last year and the way he talks now, I'm betting there are Hendrick PR people training him what to say and what not to say. He sounds more like Gordon and Johnson each week. I'm also betting not many people have put a leash on Dale as much as Hendrick Motorsports has. Do you really think anyone has ever really told Dale what to do before? The new Hendrick way of doing things is wrestling with his real personality. Within a few months he'll be completely brainwashed like Gordon and Johnson. That may not be all bad.

  5. yea i think he'll be depressed until he wins a race

  6. i think he`s depressed because he wants to come out of the closet so bad ,and admit that he doesn`t like women, but if he does that his career would be over .that is why you never see him with a woman

  7. Not really, but does seem "down" all the time. He justs needs a win.

  8. Yeah I think he might be. Every time I see him in an interview he seems so numb like hes not really there, and its not just every other interview its like every sunday if it either before or after the race hes so Blank. Like dam it Dale show us some kinda freaking emotion.

  9. Yes Junebug seems very flat in his postrace interviews. Somebody please give that kid a Prozac, he needs help. Dr. Phil? Are you listening? Could be Intervention Time!

  10. Let's see. He lost his dad.

He got run over by his step mom and was treated like c**p at the business his dad intended on his family to have.

He's gone to race at Hendrick Motorsports hoping to compete for championships and keeps getting wrecked.

He's trying to operate his own team.

He's building his own race track in Alabama.

He's just built a business in North Carolina (The Whiskey)

    He's not getting any younger.

I'd say he is carrying a lot on his shoulders right now and if he is not as "happy-go-lucky" as most people it may just be because he has one heck of a load on him at all times.

I think that warrants a little depression just from being stressed out.

  11. yes i do, very much so.....things haven't went his way in a long time now..

  12. The guy is a millionaire, the most talked about driver,in America

, I don't see how he could be depressed.

  13. Why wouldn't you be depressed when you can't win a race in over two years and have an employee worth $122 million?  He also must still be a little bitter about the whole DEI thing.

  14. Did anyone see the video of Jr as the guest photographer for Playboy?

I really dont think the lad is all that depressed. He sure as h**l isn't shy.

  15. I don't think so I think he'll feel better after he gets that first win out of the way I think he just has alot of pressure on him after the move to HMS to do well and he is but he just hasn't gotten that much needed win yet!

  16. I see what your saying, but I think it's more of a combination of his southern personality and his concentration during interviews and the fact that when your seeing him being interviewed it's usually right after he loses a race. Notice they don't interview Jimmie or Jeff much. What I was wondering, is what his appearance will look like when he's interviewed after he wins a race. He's going to look like he has split personality. But I'm sure the guy isn't depressed, just very serious.

  17. You know, I was wondering the same thing... seriously!

  18. I wouldn't call it being depressed.. He just wants to win races for his fans and team, and when it doesn't happen, he's more dejected cause he didn't win.  His temperment will change once he wins that race..I have a that friend asks me about before the race he seems like he is mad, Nope, thats just his game face, he is totally focused.. He's gonna get that win..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  19. I don't see it.  I think he was upset after Richmond, but not depressed.

  20. No. Not since he left DEI.

  21. Yeah he is !! Poor guy !!

He carried a ''HEAVY LOAD'' after losing his father !!

  22. No! i think he thinks about how many times this season he has came close to winning and breaking his losing streak! He's not deppressed just irratated, think about it new team new team mates, new car, great finishes, NO WINS, His best season so far if he keeps it up, a great chance to win the championship!

  23. anyone who knows anything about depression - real depression - know you can be the richest most popular person on the planet and still suffer from it.  he doesn't seem to exhibit any of the classic symptoms.

is he "down" at times, yes, but he's also up at times.  pre-race interviews over the past few weeks have shown him to be light-hearted, funny, and strangely articulate.  that seems to go away before post-race interviews, however.

that, at best, is situational depression, and barely that.

  24. I think he's frustrated, he's a race car driver and he wants to win races. I also think that he gets very frustrated with some of his fans (and I'm serious about this). He is the sports most popular driver, a class guy and he holds the utmost respect for his sport and all of the history that came before him. I think he gets tired of constantly having to try and live up to the unreasonable expectations of some of his fans and I definitely think he is aggravated that he has to constantly ask and lecture a lot of his fans to not do, or say stupid things. It is absolutely ridiculous that he has to, on national television, ask his fans to leave Kyle Busch alone, or to not throw things at Jeff Gordon. Now, I'm not addressing ALL of Junior fans, so don't all of you have a hissy fit. Truth be told though, for the ones I am talking about, he would drop you in a second if he knew who you were. He's a class guy and he deserves some class fans!!

  25. Maybe... do you think he used to be happier? And to Bill: even if you have lots of money and are famous, you can still be depressed. I've seen it happen a lot...

  26. yes ,

  27. He seems like it in the post races a lot. Or maybe he's just trying to catch his breath, but he's always scratching his beard and stuff and kinda looking sad, so who knows.
