He was asked to waive his clause for a trade with San Jose! Thats all i know. He can choose who he wants to be traded to with his clause.

He doesn't want to leave Tampa.

So I doubt it.

Sure it's possible, but I know he's been reluctant to leave the area in the past.

With his wife's family, a house in progress, and a new baby all holding him here, it's going to take a lot more than it would have in February, the last time we had to deal with this.

It would be a big waste for Boyle to go to the Senators after there chokejob last year.  Why would anyone want to go to that.

Maybe, but it's not worth getting rid of Mezaros for him.  And I hope the sens don't do something stupid like trade Vermette.

Me thinks your right, he is going to eat up too much cap space and the asking price will be too high.  He's a good d-man but 6 2/3 M is a lot.

What will Tampa want in return, Mezzaros as a minimum.  Then again they probably want another forward as they seem to have forgotton about defense.
