No, i think Emie or Emmie is cute. I thinking the name you are getting Emie from is Emma. i love that name. Some people think it is overused but i dont think so. Good choice of name. :D

Ha, ha. I like the name for a dog. Emmy is going to be the name. Well once I get a cute little puppy. I think it is a popular nickname when the original name is Emmeline, Emma or Emily. Although I have not come across a girl named Emmeline, Emma or Emily. Or even Emie as a nickname for that matter. So I would have to say no. I don't think it is popular.

No, I don't actually know anyone with that nickname.It's really cute though but I would spell it "Emmie" or even "Emi" or "Emmy" like short for emerald!

Is it popular? I haven't come across it. It seems to me a bit old fashioned sounding. I know an Emily, in her late twenties, who goes by "Em" and a child called Emma who is called Emma by everyone. Are you confusing Emie with Amy? Amy is cute.
