Do you think Enda Kenny was way out of line on the Lisbon TV debate yesterday?

Question

For those who didn't see it, the yes and no sides were "debating" and taking answers from the audience. Someone asked if Lisbon was the final nail in the coffin of Irish neutrality. Mary Lou McDonald (Sinn Féin MEP) said she felt Irish neutrality had been eroded anyway, and pointed to US planes refuelling at Shannon on the way to Iraq. Enda Kenny said something along the lines that such a statement was rich from someone who still has an army structure in place.

everyone knows sinn fein is the IRA or IRA sympathetic

i absouloutely hate sinn fein  but this is one of the things i agree with them on

I saw it. I thought Enda was a fool. He knew well that the treay is bad for Ireland, but he knows he will get a huge paycheck if the yes vote goes through. Horrible man with no Irish pride. . .Just money.

Even if Irelands economy goes down a small percentage from voting no [even though it wont] ... at least we will have our own mind, own voice and own governemnt ...

I am not great fan of Sinn Fein , but Kenny was way out of line.I am not sure if Enda Kenny has read the treaty or understood as he was floundering all night. He is also a very bad speaker and it difficult to understand him.  If FG want to move forward they will need to give Enda the shove.

he gatecrashed my sis' communion...showed up outside de church and took all de attention away 4m the girls themselves. he's such an @sshole. Sinn Fein are thinkin about Ireland as a nation, as opposed 2 Ireland's entrepauners. Ireland has been a prodominatly agricultural state for hundreds of generations who has fought 4 freedom 4 almost as long and the moment we freedom, peace and a decent economy, our Government is willing 2 sell that under the slightest pressure 4m the EU. a month in2 the job and Brian Cowen's fallin apart...Bertie wasn't SO bad, when ya think about it, compared 2 Enda Kenny and Brian Cowen...VOTE NO!!! Sinn fein like the IRA do not recognise the republic, the also believe that the ownership of private property is theft, Also m ary lou Mcdonald and her party wanted to raise the corporate tax as part of their election manifesto last year, now they are worried about the lisbon treaty being passed and our corporate rate of tax being raised.

Its a bit rich banging on about neutrality when you are the political wing of an organisation that waged war which killed an eight and 12 year boys in warrington and unborn children in omagh.

Sinn fein dont speak for me and have yet to prove themselves credible let alone competant to speak on any matter.

Enda Kenny has allies in europe as his party are alligned to the European peoples party which is the largest in europe, if it was such a bad deal why would they take it.I believe Mr Kenny did not get a fair chance by jonathan bowman, who gave others the oppertunity to but in on his turn. I think johnathan bowman failed to control the debate and it turned into a farce

Also why didnt Mary lou attack mr ganley about his vested intrests in the us defence budget and the military, at least micheal martin said it best when he challenged them both, over the fact that one is protesting about military planes in shannon and the other wants their product on the planes in shannon.

The No side started it with their misinformation tactics, like saying newborn babies would be tagged and if The shinners and libertas like slinging much so much they shouldnt react like spoilt kids when it is slung back at them.

The shinners have only themselves to blame in the fact that it is so easy to discredit them.

On one hand you do have to expect that kind of stuff when your in Sinn Féin because theres no denying their history, but I do think he made a fool of himself. Especially because she kept her cool and still got her point across all you really remember from what he said was thinking what are doing you plank.
