Do you think English will be the universal language one day?

A lot of countries make their schools teach English as a second language. Mexico, japan, I can't think of any others, but there's many.

Do you think one day other languages will become obsolete and English will be the universal language, or at least known every where.

I doubt it. Mandarin (Chinese) is the most spoken language, with English behind it by about half as many people.

No.  In America, everyone will be speaking Spanish in 25 years.

Perhaps but I doubt english would be totally universal no language would be universal because if you think about it losing a language is like losing culture and it will always be perserved.

However it is possible that english is known everywhere because it is possible in someways but some people find it hard just being able to speak one language let alone 2.
