Do you think Family Guy went too far once or twice?

What are some things on the show that you think might have been offensive or insulting?

I don't think anything was too bad since that's what the show is basically about, but a lot of people seem to think it's really offensive.

i think its really offensive when they make fun of disabled people  like that guy in the wheel chair

I think it was gross the other night when that poodle was in a weird bikini while nursing....gaaa-ross.

yes it is funny but sometimes they do go too far.

like the one episode where the teacher got a s*x change.

they were picking on transgenders (excuse me if i'm wrong)

but they dont need to put down people for such a serious life changing decision.

Yes, it's gone too far, many times. That's the point of the show. People should change the channel if they're offended.

no, did you ever see that south park episode about family guy..southpark has family guy writers as manatees in a big water tank picking random topics for storylines/jokes.  I thought it was funny.  I don't like southpark but it was funny to see how jealous southpark is.  family guy rules over southpark because family guy doesn't hold anything back. oh and there was the whole muslim thing.

There's usually one pretty offensive joke in each episode, usually its race related.  One of the jokes I thought was pretty bad was the one about the "lost city of new orleans", but that's why its a pretty good show cause it pushes the envelope.

yeah....family guy sometimes just pushes it way too hard and get people offended...their just sharing their opinions (writers and creators) i know... but sometimes thy really need to watch what their saying....

I think, somethings are meant to be funny and somethings are meant to be emotional, when you're watching something funny you should use reason not emotion.

Family Guy is just a cartoon "roast".  No holding back, crossing the line, good old fashion "roast".  It's meant to be comical using offensive, racial, stereotyping, and other elements that society deems untouchable.  People just need to have more emotional intelligence and not take it to heart.

I don't really think anything went too far, but the reason the show itself is such a success is its no holds barred attitude towards things that have happened here and the pervasive nature of our country. AND THATS WHY I LOVE THE SHOW!!!!!!
