  1. I lost some respect for Brett Favre since he is just being whiny about the whole thing.  He should have stayed retired.  I think he was pissed because the Packers didn't go after Randy Moss.

  2. I don't realy know but I'm over it. Go Redskins

  3. yep

  4. I think Favre only wanted to leave GB after GB told him they either didn't want him at all or they wanted him to back-up a guy who's never started an NFL game.

I'm pretty sure Favre knew that his best chance of playing for a winning team was to start as the QB for the Packers in '08.  The Packers took that option off of the table so Favre has been left with no choice but to want to go somewhere else to play in '08.   If Favre wants to actually play and not sit on the sidelines holding a clipboard, he knows he's going to have to do it somewhere else.

  5. Yes. Favre said in the spring of 2007 that it would be his last season with Green Bay regardless of retirement or not. Clearly Ted Thompson had been doing more and more each year he was GM to frustrate Favre and make him not feel welcome. I do not blame Favre for finally wanting out.

The administration also hired former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer as a "consultant". This was to control public relations. You can imagine the outrage Packer fans would have if they knew the truth of how Favre was pushed out of Green Bay.

They leaked disinformation to the media that he was flip flopping about retirment and that he used a team cell phone to tamper with the Vikings. It seemed to work, Packer fans that bought the spin turned on Brett and called him whiny and a waffler.

At least Favre demanded they retract the cell phone lie, probably threatened to sue for libel, because Thompson quickly had a press conference admitting there was no team cell phone.

Anyway by the end Favre did want to leave, you can only push some one that had been so loyal, played through pain, never missed a start, and brought you so much success so far.

  6. I would think that because he has been with them so long i think he just wants to win a super bowl ring with a good team

  7. No, Brett Favre just wanted to play with the best team possible.  For him, the best team was the Green Bay Packers as he was familiar with the team, and did so well with it last year.  If he had only wanted to leave Green Bay he would have attempted that at the end of the last season, or he would have stayed retired.

  8. bret farve and the packers suck colts rule

  9. Who knows?  I'm kind of sick of hearing about Brett Favre and his ridiculous drama.  He had plenty of time to decide whether or not to retire.  He is clearly into drawing attention to himself.

  10. No. If Favre had simply said in March that he's coming back instead of "retiring", he would be the starting QB for the Pack right now. GB just got tired of the onagain -off again retirement plans.
