  1. yeah duh he's no.1 in the world r****d and one more thing raul dravid does  rules

  2. I don't think so, he hasn't won a grandslam tournament at all this year...i really don't think he has a chance at all.

  3. well, yeah its weird, but Djokovic is capable of stopping him. Thats if some tomato can doesn't stop him before he meets Djokovic or Rafa.

I have a feeling the winner of US Open is going to come from where Djokovic is placed on the draw.

  4. No, I think he's met his Waterloo, as the saying goes.

  5. Yeah he can...but he will..no one knows, right know i think all 3 player have as much equal chance of winning it as each other.

  6. YES.

  7. Sure, he'll always have a strong chance of winning just about any tournament he enters, except maybe the French Open for obvious reasons, but whether or not he takes the U.S. Open this year remains to be seen.  He was devastaded by the Wimbledon loss, and he's playing in the Olympics, which may or may not hurt his chances at the U.S. Open, so we'll see what happens.

  8. Roger Federer will win his first grand slam of the year over there in New York and win the Olympics, due to the lost at Wimbledon, he has learned a lot about nadal and he is defently working on making himself more mentally strong and working of other techniques to defeat other players. Federer will make a 4 peat U.S open champion.

  9. for him to not win a grand slam this year he is gonna go absolutely nuts and kill the whole field. he will not let himself go down without winning at least one slam in 2008. this determination will win him the US easily.

  10. yes

  11. I won't doubt for a second that he can't win it.

His only threat is Djokovic on hard courts and Rafa can't move very well on hard courts and Federer has the better record between them on hard . Besides, Federer is aiming for revenge for all of his losses in the previous grand slams. So Federer is the best on hard courts and can definitely win the US open.

    C'mon Roger.

  12. nope

  13. definitely! Roger is great on hard and is playing in New York (my hometown!) :)

Djokovic and Roddick have a pretty good chance also...

  14. Yes of course! He lost to Rafa just about at SW19.

Federer has the definite edge over Nadal on the hard courts and then Djokovic is the only other realistic contender.

Basically, As one of only 3 players that at the moment could win a Grand Slam he has a 1 in 3 chance. This is then narrowed down further considering he is the defending champion, Suprior to Nadal on this surface and is still a better player than Novak.

  15. I actually think he has quite a good chance despite his performance this year on the grand slams. He has no hard court titles, but we'll see what happens. If Djokovic faces Federer in the US Open this year, I think that Djokovic will win. Anyone else that Federer faces he will win.

  16. lol well its possible, i mean its Roger lol so um yeah course :). I hope Rafa does it tho :P x*x

  17. Stick a fork in Federer because he is done.  He will lose to Djokovic at the US open and the Ausi open and Rafa will beat him at the French and Wimbledon.  He won't win another major.  He is now at an age where his body doesn't rebound as quickly and he has a more going on in his life than tennis.

  18. I dunno after the Wimbledon final I really do believe that anything could happen.....But I think Federer knows how much he needs it and he'll do it....... I hope

  19. Yeah.  No doubt he is still one of the favourite but Djokovic and Nadal will challenge him.  I still consider him as the favourite in U.S. Open even he has not winning any slam this year.  People have forget as Federer is the Four Time U.S Open Defending Champion.  No doubt Nadal is improving on Hard Court but if he wants to win the U.S Open, he really have to work on it as his best result in the U.S. Open is only quarterfinal.  I'll give Federer slightly edge if he meets Djokovic in the final as U.S. Open is the only Grand Slam to still proceeds with tie break format in best of five sets.  Federer always had good winning record in tie breaks.  Not to mention French Open and this year Australian Open (Federer is not in his good form but I still give Djokovic credit for beating Federer in straight sets).  The two critical grand slam matches he losses, 2005 Australian Open Semifinal to Safin & 2008 Wimbledon Final to Nadal has been a thrilling 16 games fifth set (9-7).  Federer would have won the game, had the game proceed with tie break format.  He almost did it against Nadal in Wimbledon (4-6,4-6,7-6,7-6,7-9).  Therefore, I still consider him as the top favourite in The U.S. Open.
