Do you think Federer`s chances to win the French Open are looking pretty slim ?

This loss at Rome certainly wont do his confidence any good. He`s only won Estoril and lets face it he was expected to, no good players were in that tournament haha So what do you reckon ? I had a good feeling he wouldnt make it to the final in Rome and i even posted a question about that people thought i was just talking rubbish lol well haha to yous :P If roger doesnt win the French this year he`ll never win it !!!!!!! Opinions fellow tennis fans ? lol

Nope, I hope Rafa wins the French Open, cuz let's face it, he is the king of clay, and I hope he gets Roger's spot.

His chances are pretty slim considering the fact that Rafa is there. (Unless Rafa gets sick or injured which I hope not).

i give him a  10 - 20% chance to win the french... its not impossible but very unlikely...... for one thing, it takes the most stamina there.. if he is not feeling good physically it will be even more difficult there more then anywhere.... the rallies are greater....

and too many strong players who can challenge him on the clay.....

his chances to win the french are going down more and more.. i will not say never though.. but less and less

I think Roger's chances are still 50/50 since we can never tell when he's going to play his best tennis again...in his recent loss to Radek, its the breaks that got him...he said it himself that he did not handle the big points quite well as he used to so Stepanek took advantage of that...and besides, the law of averages is fast catching up on him that we should expect these things to happen...he;s been winning for so long already and what goes up must come down...

Federer hopes on winning French gets slimmer by day and I

do not see him win in near future. He has not started the season

well and to top it he has won only one tournament so far. This

year it does not look for him even to win the Wimbledon or US

open - looking at the way he is playing. But I still reckon he will

still be the favorite to win on grass.

yeah his game has drop dramatically since the end of 07. But i still believe in him to win the French and break Sampras record. But as we all can see there's chance for him to make a final if he plays without facing any opponent in the top 10 or out of the top ten that is not good.unlike (Stepanek) or etc...

But im still rooting for him.

his chances are slim like always. but like i've been saying, i do not believe that Federer will win a major this year.  My theory is no number one seed will win a tournament (slams included).  people are learning how to beat federer, he hasn't gotten worse, people are just so used to seeing him win that they have to make lame excuses when he looses. but as long as Rafa's foot heals, he should be the number one contender for Roland Garros.

I never thought his chances of winning the French were that great to begin with, not with the year he's been having.  If Rafa is healthy, I'd say Federer's chances at winning in Roland Garros are zero.

Federer will never win the French Open. Nadal is the best clay-courter now and in history. He was beaten by Ferrero because the clay season is a week lesser than last year. Four tournaments in a row? It's incredible if he would win it all.

Rome really did s***w him up, his chances are low to win the French Open this year, I think that Nadal will win this one since he is the Clay court champion.

Most likely if FedEx does not win FO this year he will never redeem the position but I believe there is still hope in the air for the good man.
