Do you think Fidel Castro was a good or bad person?

The media has led people to believe Fidel was a bad person, when he saved Cuba, and he helped many other countries. I just want to know what you people think.

Most of the people in Cuba were under a corrupt ruling elite headed by Batista before Fidel Castro led a rebellion to take over. Crime and corruption was everywhere including the Jewish mobster Myron Lansky. When Castro took over, Batista an Lansky escaped and several thousand of their soldiers. Everybody connected with Batista either escaped are were put in prison. Many Batista "Cubans" settled in Miami and are very bitter and cling to their guns and bibles.

Yeah, If your definition of "good" is an evil tyrant. Exactly what other countries did Fidel Castro help and how did he save Cuba? I guess thats why so many refugees from Cuba would rather take their chances on dying in little row boats trying to cross over to America, and then somehow talk our government into letting them stay. These people know that if they fail, death or imprisonment awaits them back in Cuba. Just because the media wanted us to think he was such a bad guy, wow, what a bad rep. this poor dictator got. So sad. And yeah, I believe the guy is finally dead.

Is he dead?

He was a very bad person and still is.

He destroyed Cuba, just ask some of the thousand of people who have escaped from cuba clinging to makeshift rafts so they could find hope for the future and live in freedom.  The media does not make this stuff up, I have seen it with my own eyes and I have talked to some of these people.

ok....go to Florida(it's the one that looks like an appendix stiking down in the ocean on the lower right side of your US map)....go find a bunch of 'former' Cubans who came here instead of sticking with your aformentioned misunderstood comrade...and ask them what they thinlk...I mean, they had first hand knowledge-- no heresay!.......that'll give you  a better understanding...**.(uh. and I wouldn't bring up words like: Che, Granma,national health care,stuff like that!)
