Absoutely not.  2006 was the best that the current listed players can get.  They have peaked now and are only going down hill from now.  Maybe top 4 at best in the next 4 years.  Nothing more.

Not while they have the type of people involved on their committe like they have now - they will never win.

They have a mindset about trying to buy ready made players & buying a premiership. It has been a dismal failure. They wont do any good until they start developing some young players & getting a bit of heart in the club.

They may well be capable in the next five years but in true Docker style, they probably won't convert their talent to a flag. It's very unfortunate for WA football.

Yes.  Absolutely!  They, Melbourne and Richmond are teams to watch.  

There are a lot of complaints about the football communism that is the draft system but the guard is changing every few years.

With two more tall forwards (including one hard-running hard-marking forward (a la Brown/Dunstall), Freo could be scarier to me (a GFC fan) than Port are right now.  They just don't have real physical presence at the moment I reckon.

Nah i don't think so richo,Freo are still a fair bit off the pace and with one of the oldest lists going they will have to rebuild before they will get close to a grand final,also the other teams like geelong,hawthorn,westcoast still have another few years of finals to play before they drop down and i can't see freo beating them.

Will have to agree with Forky here, I can not see Freo winning the flag withinin the next 10yrs. They have one of the oldest list going around, and they need to rebuild, once these players start to retire. It will take at least 3 to 4 yrs for this yrs youngsters to prove they are fully cherry ripe and become great players.

Then there's the issue of the coach, they need a well established coach to guide and to make these players become true champions.

I'm almost certain that Fremantle will not win a flag in the next 5 years. Geelong will show more signs of dominance of the next few years, and i say watch out for Hawthorn and Port Adelaide. With two of the youngest squads in the league and both finishing in the top 5, wait til the likes of Westhoff and Franklin get a bit more game experience. Two future hall of famers there. My tip for this year is Port to beat Geelong by 7 points in the GF.
