Sheffield is batting .230 this season and was booed by Tigers fans yesterday after going 0 and 4 with two strikeouts and hitting into a double play. In an interview with the Boston Globe, Sheffield indicated that he is unhappy playing with the Detroit Tigers.

Do you think the Detroit Tigers will deal Gary Sheffield to another team? If so, will the Tigers eat what's remaining of Sheffield's contract or will Sheffield waive his no-trade clause?

  1. Yes. One way or another. he's a shadow of his former self.

  2. Yeah, I was at the game, and they were booing him. He will be with Tampa Bay by September. Gary Sheffield is still my Tiger, just like Pudge.

  3. They just waived him.

  4. Gary Sheffield is the single most selfish individuals to ever play in any professional sport.  He is a malcontent, a racist, and a generally unfriendly guy with a major chip on his shoulders.  For once in his life he needs to be grateful for the good fortune that he has made millions of dollars playing a kids game.  The only thing he had been good at during his entire career is blaming others for his short comings.  It would serve him right if the Tigers cut the SOB and no one picked him up.  The sooner Sheffield is out of baseball, the better.

  5. No he will be traded for some scrubs i mean who would want gary sheffield and it would clear up the tigers diminishing cap and roster space.
